Came here on their first evening open and was literally their first customer ever. The decor is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing, the service was attentive and caring, the drinks were delicious and so was the food.Everything was well prepared with balanced flavours and was beautifully plated. We live in Sidney and this is the first fine dining restaurant that we can actually walk to that’s opened. So we will be back again for sure!

Wow - Brings me back to the days where quality food, atmosphere and service all come together! Celebrated our birthdays at the new hot French cuisine restaurant in Sidney. Had a delightful professional waitress . Parking outside the door if you need it. Most dishes are gluten free. Very special. So excited to see a fine dining Option with beautiful decor. Bravo!Avail for lunch and dinner too! We had appy, main course and a bottle of fine Italian wine with lovely complimentary fresh bread for a fair value.Nice to celebrate a new chef “Matt” who is passionate about food! We will be back!

Good and service was outstanding. Smaller locally sourced menu with attention to detail. This gem is tucked away in Sidney by the Sea. Our server Zoey was attentive and personable. The chairs were comfortable and allowed us to enjoy our wonderful food.Fresh flowers at the door were a nice touch.

Absolutely delicious food, everything cooked perfectly! Started with the lobster ravioli, then I had the beef tenderloin and my fiance had the rack of lamb; all outstanding. I heard Matt likes to change up the menu so I highly recommend trying these! Very friendly staff and romantic atmosphere as well.

I do not recommend dining at this restaurant. My family and I celebrated my Grandmother’s birthday here and had high expectations. Unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. Of the 5 entrées we ordered, 2 had to be sent back for cooking alterations, the portion sizes were very small, and we all preferred the Thai food we had the night before. When I sent my halibut back to be cooked more, they also took away and threw out the other food that was on my plate. On top of that, service was average. They asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and then didn’t offer anything for it, didn’t offer a cocktail or drink after dinner, and the service simply wasn’t exceptional like one would expect at this price point.Overall, we all decided we would not return.

Cozy atmosphere, small but exceptional menu, and very high quality service. I especially recommend the pork belly and beet salad apps, and for mains the salmon was really exceptional.

Two of my dearest friends invited me for an early dinner at Atelier. We had the restaurant to ourselves for some time but I think the service would have been just as excellent with however many people there were. Sunday is a roast dinner and it was soooo good. Parsnip soup was smooth and tasty. The roast beef was done to perfection as were the variety of vegetables and the Yorkshire pudding. The only suggestion I would make is to complete the meal with a lighter dessert. I grew up eating bread pudding but my companions did not and so didn't each much. I finished mine. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Greater Victoria needed a place like this. I am happy to make the drive out to Sidney for the exceptional experience I had.Don’t forget about dessert.

We had a wonderful experience at Atelier. The service was excellent - our host was charming and funny. It was a lovely evening. Beer recommendation was spot on. We had bread and a salad appy, both were delicious. My wife had the salmon and said it was very good. My colleague had the lamb and claimed it was the best he ever had. His wife had duck and also thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the rib-eye steak, and unfortunately was disappointed. It was a tough piece of meat, very chewy, and a chore to swallow. Everything else was excellent. But my steak is the reason for 4 stars. Had i enjoyed it as much as my dinner-mates their meals, this would have been an easy 5 stars. That said, i recommend Atelier for a beautiful dinner experience.

My wife and I had an evening available, so glad we made a quick reservation. We ate from the starters and appy menu, was the perfect amount. Had a lovely dessert and well had a coffee delivered…. That was the down point. I suggested a local bean provider, I do hope they can work together.
