Hanksters Windows Siding & Doors

Hanksters installed a new back door for us and replaced our eavestroughing. We love our new door, everything went well for us. I have no complaints.

Well apparently Hank is out of business. All our windows have a permanant fog about 3 inches high. Our door handles were cheap. The doors were cheap . Everything only lasted about 1.5 years .Could never get ahold of him for service but yet thats what he said he was so big on when we first met him. Even the window company said thats what all his customers said!.

My experience with Hanksters was awful, and I would not recommend him to anybody that is seeking new windows or doors. I got several quotes in Brantford from local window and door companies to replace my two exterior doors in my home. He was the cheapest price by far, and it appears I got what I paid for. The side door caused me nothing but problems for weeks - it leaked excessively from where the window was installed in the door, and it took Hank coming back twice to fix it before the issue was finally solved. The door leaking was not the worst part - his customer service was awful, he was rude on the phone and was extremely unavailable. At times, a week would go by without a returned phone call, and I always had to call several times to get him on the phone. He would never call back when he promised. When I finally did get him on the phone, he was short with me, and wouldn't make himself available - he was not flexible whatsoever, even though it was his issue he was fixing. I work a full time job and asked him to come at 8:00am to repair the door, but he told me he doesn't start work until 8:30am" (he is the owner of his company). I also asked him to come on my lunch anytime between 11:00am - 1:30pm but that was "inconvenient for him" and refused. I took time off work to meet him at 4:30pm (the ONLY time that was available for him) and when I got to my house and he had already come and gone... there was no need for me to be at the house but he insisted I needed to be there. The trim around my door on the inside of my house has been ruined from the water leaking in and all the time it took for him to finally fix the issue

I have tried to find these people for over 3years. Does anyone know where they got their windows from?When he came to our home he said they were lifetime warranty. What a joke. I have left messages since before they disappeared to no avail. Ripoffs is my final words on them

These clowns suck. We hired them to replace all our windows and many of the windows were installed crooked and the flashing was not angled properly so water pooled and eventually leaked back into the wall causing all kinds of wood rot and damage. Furthermore these morons installed aluminum flashing over the steel support strip on the top of the window -a huge no no as metals react with each other. Save your money and hire a 5 year old as you will likely get a more professional installation than what you'd get from Prankster...
