80 Bond

My girlfriend lives in this building, and asked me to write this review so that she can stay anonymous.The building itself is really nice and all, and we both love the features of the units, the gym, and the events that are put on there by the comittee..... but the reason for the three stars is because of the building manager, Ruth. She is an awful mean person who doesn't communicate with residents whatsoever except to yell or be rude to them (or to her staff for that matter, and in view and earshot of residents or perspective ones). She never returns emails or seems to care about the residents at all. I don't know who thought someone with zero customer service skills or professionalism would be suited for this job.All of the other staff members are great, and luckily that woman doesn't seem to be there very often, but everyone else is very nice, pleasant, and helpful whenever we need any assistance with anything.

I viewed approximately 10 units at 80 bond about renting a 1+den/2 bedroom apartment. It is a very nice building, but the bedrooms are quite small but was willing to part with my queen bedroom suite (once I sold my home) and purchase a double bed so it would fit in the master bedroom.I have a senior cat and 2 male budgies (siblings in the same cage), so I inquired about pets. A few days later, I received an email advising me of a 2 pet policy rule.So if you have a dog and an aquarium, you better only have 1 fish in the tank or hell is gonna break loose...lolI will gladly give my 2800.00+ rent to someone else. In addition, get ready to bend over when your lease is up, as they can raise your rent however much they want! Any rental units built after November 15, 2018 are exempt from rent control.

Looking for a New Home??? 80 Bond is the place to be!!As a fairly new immigrant to Canada, the staff and management were very helpful, accommodating, and patient in facilitating several viewings before a decision was made on my unit of choice.The facilities/ amenities offered are one of a kind and of premium standard. With the very advance technology incorporated within each suite, you have the capability to control your unit via your mobile device from anywhere!The bedrooms easily fit a queen size or double bed, depending on your floor plan.The 80 Bond community is also a pet-friendly environment with the same rules as required under the By Law.Having resided at 80 Bond for a couple of months now, I can safely say that there is no better Building that offers an environment with warm neighbours, capable security and friendly staff.

The building is nice with all new appliances and amenities like the gym.BUT, the management team is horrible. No one responds to emails. I paid $75 for a new key as per email instruction and had to wait 20+ days to receive it.The fire alarm “testing” is always before 10am and they perform apartment inspections without notice. I will be moving out as soon as possible.

Been living here since early 2023 and I have to say things are much better since management changed

I'm pretty sure most of the good reviews are from staff working here.everything people are saying is true. You're lied to and there is no parking for Studio apartments, Its an absolute pain to haul grocery's across the street!Don't fall for that one because they will tell you especially those sales people will tell you yes there is underground parking but when you sign on the dotted line and move in you'll soon find out you have to park in a parking garage across the street.In my opinion I don't understand why they would even build a building that does not have enough parking for everyone, look a the apartments on Rosseland road, they have parking for everyone. it may be so called Luxury" but honestly in my opinion there isn't anything special about it.i'd say the only pros are you get AC and heat a washing machine

Extremely poor management. Emails go unanswered and you’re made to feel like they are doing you a favor. For the price of rent they need a better team to deliver premium service

This building is quite lovely and living here has been great! All of the people here are friendly and the high tech aspects in the units are a nice touch (tinting windows, wall pad controls, etc).The building also has a Social Committee that is supported by management who puts on events for the residents which is fun!

Horrible management, poor communication, practically yelling at the tenants through writing, this building doesn’t even have enough parking for the amount they have theoretically assigned to units so there are people in one bedroom apartments without a parking spot! If you are moving into a one bedroom/1+den now it’s allegedly highly likely that you will be without parking, your only option will be to park in the parkade, except you can’t on weekends and evenings because of event parking as well as you can’t park there for longer than 48 hours, even if you pay monthly. It was advertised that there is a party room available as part of the amenities, however that’s been taken away and can now only be rented, we haven’t seen a decrease in rent after that decision. Don’t be fooled by the “dog wash station” it’s just a big shower.

If you’re looking for a great place to live. Check out 80 Bond Street East in Oshawa.Condo living at its best. We moved in last September and can’t say enough about the people I have met. We are a community of all ages. And something to do for all. I’m lucky enough to be on the social committee where we meet and organize events for everyone. I truly recommend 80 Bond
