Canada Post

It's a small post office, but at least, it's still an original building and keeps the ornate fixtures.

This particular post office is also a tourist attraction. One of the oldest post offices in Canada. The original Clock tower still works. Antique post boxes and good old fashion towns folk.

Recently, I had need of assistance from the Gagetown Post Office. I had never before been there and was pleasantly surprised with the building and with the postal employee there that day. I'm sorry I didn't get his name. He was very professional and helpful, even going above and beyond to resolve my issue. While he woked to find a resolution, I had time to take in the beauty of the building, admiring the 1934 woodwork and original features of the post office. I was in awe of the condition of the wood, grates, P.O. Boxes (amazing!), wicket grating and the picture of a very young Queen on the wall. The employee gave me a bit of history about the place and was kind enough to point out the old transom windows, even showing the old stick used to reach and open the windows. I would love to see the building placed on the preservation society roster, to be a permanent reminder of when we, as a country, were a Dominion." Thank you
