Worst experience!!!! Will never recommend them, even to my enemies. Stay away from them. First they will lure you and once to start living they don’t care about your problems. BELIEVE ME they will not respond to your emails or calls.Unfortunately I had to deal with Tessa May, Julia Graffi and Hiral Patel. Their landlords don’t listen to them and they do the same with you.Stay away, live on the street but don’t sign lease with them.Hope this helps someone.

Please stay away from this company and don't even consider applying for their apartments, it's nothing but a waste of time and effort. Employees cannot communicate at all and are very unprofessional. Takes 30+ emails back and forth just to set up one tour.The tour was horrible, we had to wait in the cold weather for 10+ minutes because the person was late and did not know what he was talking about. Constantly avoided our questions and sounded like he got the job straight out of kindergarten. He told us that as long as we follow the procedures we are guaranteed to get the apartment. We did that and waiting 2 weeks with no response from them and even with follow up calls and emails, I never received a response. My calls would instantly go to voicemail and my emails were not responded to. But none of my friends had this issue and we found out that they decided to rent the apartment out to one person and suggested that we split up.No matter who we're communicating with, they did not know what they were doing or saying, the response I got the most was there is nothing I can do" and "I'm not sure how that works"

Bad experience with Rent corp. Owners beware this company will over charge for the service (like painting) was never provided. Dryer was missing from my units. Someone broke into the unit,couple with dog living in which they are unaware. Called them many times no one bother to pick up the phone. They charged me for contract termination even though I gave them 3 months notice. I called them over the phone to discuss this issue and they told me someone will get back to me and which they never did and instead they are demand the amount owning. I guess this company don't have a proper system and communication among the employees.Owners should look for better property management in Waterloo.Good luck Rent corp.

My experience with Tessa throughout the last 4-5 months has been great. From the early stages of setting up tours to see the apartment to later starting the lease agreement process, Tessa was always on top of everything and communicated in a timely manner and also respectfully. I would say that her customer service is exceptional considering the number of students she has to deal with. She's also a problem solver, once where I had issues setting up my tenant insurance and later forgot to submit my move-out form. In the end, I think the work she did and help she provided within the last 5 months is greatly appreciated. The only thing I would recommend is maybe sending out reminders for tenants to submit their move-out form depending on how long their lease is. This might perhaps have nothing to do with Tessa and something from RentCorp, nonetheless, it would help a lot of students and even resolve many unnecessary issues.

As a first-time renter, navigating the competitive housing market was difficult, but Jasman made the experience much smoother! He had showed me a variety of units available, answered all of my questions and concerns within 24 hours, was patient and understanding, and was able to allow me to have the opportunity to sign the lease for the unit I ultimately chose the same day I had made my decision on it. If you ever decide you want to rent in Waterloo, go with Rentcorp!

Is the worst company ever , I have paid them last month twice by mistake ,they didn’t give me my money back, I called them many times , they said the money went to the owner, I never met the owner. I rented from them and paid to them. Now for more than one year , after many e mails and I get nothing. I never met company like this , no organization, they don’t know anything, communication is horrible.they know how to take money only . The first time I met company take money not belong to them. They took the deposit and extra month. I never forgave them for a single pinny they took without any right. Please stay away from them. They knew that they took the money and I have all e mails and bank statements confirming this, they didn’t deny but they can’t returned back, unbelievable. Very disappointed that there is a company with this attitude. Completely unprofessional.

I have been living at 316 King Street, Waterloo - property for 8 months now. We have bed bugs infesting our unit & the maintenance is still taking action it's been almost a month. Whenever I call them they say 'We have contacted the owner, waiting for his response'. You know how difficult it is to live around beg bugs in your rooms. If the owner doesn't respond, we are entitled to suffer. We have been paying the full rent despite not using the rooms. It's a long holiday this week & We wouldn't get any action.NOT OKAY!

My son has been in his condo for over a month and the shower faucet (which is completely broken) has yet to be fixed so that it can be used. Currently 5 tenants are sharing one bathroom and paying for a fully functioning second bathroom. Despite multiple requests, they have failed to repair the shower. The unit (261 Lester St, unit 401) was extremely dirty when it was handed over and contained ripped/damaged furniture. RentCorp's customer service is non-existent. They make empty promises and fail to deliver. I would not rent with them again.
