My family used schoening funeral home for a family members cremation two years ago. More than a year and a half later we got a phone call saying they had a item of the deceased. So we made arrangements to go and pick up the item. When we arrived they took us to a private room and asked how we were doing. Then proceeded to give us a planning guide for our own funeral and a business card for counseling. We said thank you and that we would think about and left. I am sorry but a year and half later you do this ask us to come in on the pretense that you had a item of my mother in laws. Then to turn around and ask if we were wanting to plan our own funerals. Few weeks later I received a call from you again asking when we could get things started. I said we were not financially able to. You still sent my two more planning guides and another two emails stating you have payment plans. I will not be using schoening funeral services for any of my family members due to them charging us a thousand dollars more than another funeral home would have and the fact that your worker straight out lied to us about having a item from our deceased mother. Also the other company would have come to our home the day after it happened even tho we live out of town.
