Regional Recycling Burnaby Bottle Depot
Clean, professional, lots of space, well organized and great if you have a vehicle. I walk, so I feel awkward taking up a parking space to sort bottles, but it’s a large enough lot. I have only been cheated on my return once out of the several times I have been there, which is better then most depots I have experienced. Still happens, unfortunately.

Very clean and friendly service, they also have a drop off service where you can drop off your recycling bottles, you create an account, no need to line up or count. After a few days, your refund will be credited to your account.

The drop-off system is unnecessarily complicated (if you want your money....) On two occasions we have dropped bags of cans, and received texts to acknowledge....went to pick up the money on account today, and was told that I had to have the texts to show them (not saved). receipts (!) or an account number. I had assumed that the account and relevant information would be tied to the cell phone number...but no. Silly me - too logical a way to access the data.

This takes the stuff that the eco centre doesn't, like electronics, lightbulbs, appliances, clothing etc. Bottle and can exchange here. Staff are helpful. Parking isn't great. Not open holidays.

This is one of my favorite recycling depos. The other is in queens borough. Both of these have a quick drop off. They prefer blue transparent bags for liquid containers. They take care of sorting. They also accept batteries,metal, and old electronics.

They dont take prime hydration bottles and didnt give me a reason why. I said i dont need to be paid for them i just need them to be recycled and the lady said they can take 1 or 2 but thats too many". No signage anywhere states they dont take this kind of bottle."

Absolute ripoff!! These scam artists pay 2/3 the return price that you get at Capital Salvage or any other reputable dealer. Don’t believe me, the proof is in black and white! There is no way to justify the price gap you can clearly see on my receipts from this scumhole compared to my receipts from Capital Salvage. I hope you are ashamed of yourselves, ripping off hard working men and women.

The answering service can not answer ever the most basic question is this open today… the main website says it is open but when you google it it says closed.. there is snow today so I called them to confirm.. the first lady said give me your number and I will have a follow back within 24 hours and I called back and the other individual said you can email them. I’ll get back to you within 24 hours. The answering is a very very poor front end support staff.

I don't know why this place insists on doing everything different than the rest of the Encorp/ReturnIt locations. Maybe because they're not actually part of that group. They don't accept ReturnIt Express, instead opting for some other service I've never heard of. Either way, it's always been a hassle dealing with this place. Find another place that appreciates your business.
