This was the most incredible experience from start to finish. Idilko, Monique and Daniella were incredible. They are so incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about their craft, and they were so supportive during the whole experience. After the birth, they came to my home twice. I’ve never heard of a doctor in Canada doing that. I switched over from atrocious medical care from a general practitioner and stumbled on this place by chance. It was a lovely fate that led me to them for my first child. I miss you guys, and thank you for all that you do.

As a first time mom, I’ve always known I wanted midwives as my primary care providers. Ildiko, Monique and Janaya were exactly what I was hoping for! They truly take time and care in each appointment and are thorough with providing all the information you need to make informed choices about your labour and birth.Postpartum care was just as thorough.I felt seen and heard; no question/concern was ever made to feel insignificant.The clinic is also a bright, beautiful space, which adds to the positive experience.I highly recommend Uptown Midwives if you are considering midwifery care for your pregnancy.

We could not ask for better experience.. Everyone was amazing.. The team was very responsive, caring and understanding through my journey from the beginning.Endless thanks to Shawna who supported me during my pregnancy, labor, birth and the postpartum. I’m not sure I’ll ever find the words to express how grateful I am to have received such wonderful care at Uptown. After going through a miscarriage and having a very challenging pregnancy, Monique and Ildiko’s support, kindness and knowledge eased my anxiety and helped me tremendously. The administrative staff, Terri & Liza, were very friendly and prompt with their email responses. I can’t stop raving about this clinic and their phenomenal service <3

The care was good up until the birth. Clean facilities, friendly service. However we felt pressured to do an induction at just 39 weeks. My wife and baby were healthy and had no complications at all. This and many other things that we clearly refused, we were persistently pressured to do. Otherwise they would threaten us with a hospital birth! We wanted a beautiful home birth.During the home birth, my wife tensed up because they continued to threaten her with the hospital birth unless she was dilated x cm by such and such a time. My wife was left with birth trauma that she had to work through after our firstborn.And postpartum they wanted us to COME into the office when my wife should clearly just be resting at home.We tried another midwife clinic for the second child and they came to us postpartum. Makes so much more sense.Please note, if you feel pressured you have every right to switch healthcare providers even at the moment of birth. I recommend signing up with a couple of midwife clinics. We had a great experience with Don Valley midwives for our second child. We were 42 weeks and simply encouraged to do a stretch and sweep which we politely refused and no longer pressured to do after. The baby was born one day after this offer because babies will just be born in their own time. The due date calculations are way off in my opinion. Just trust that God has your baby in His care and control.The midwives at this clinic are mostly young and less experienced. Focused too much on liability concerns it seems. Our birth plan was disrespected in multiple ways.Thanks for reading.

I am sure the people are lovely, but I think it's important for potential clients to know that while the website says We are collectively committed to women and their families in every stage of their pregnancy

I had an amazing experience with Uptown Midwives throughout my pregnancy, delivery and postpartum care. I was with Shawna and Aynsley and I simply loved how each appointment was thorough and they were so calm in answering all the questions helping me make informed choices. Aynsley delivered my baby and I couldn't be more happier and satisfied with the care she provided throughout my delivery and hospital stay. The postpartum care was also amazing. I would highly recommend them.

We got the best experience during pregnancy, labour and after! The midwives are very experienced, polite and kind. They easy understand your needs and concerns. They are always on their cells ready to help. As a result I felt good on my pregnancy, had quick and easy labour on their clinic (not hospital). Also they helped me to get breast milk and with breastfeeding, the things I had problems with my first child. I want to thank the entire team and especially Carla, Christi and Kamara (also Codie who was on my labour)!

We were so pleased to have found this clinic and have them for our first pregnancy and birth. All our midwives were excellent and made us feel confident and cared for. Highly recommend, and will be coming back for our next baby!

I chose the center after reading many reviews. I have Gemma and Aynsley as my current midwives. They have been very patient in responding to my questions and concerns thus far. I will be posting on my delivery journey so stay tuned.Update: I am very fortunate to have delivered my baby girl under the guidance of my midwives, literally one of the best decision I have made thus far. For first time mom who are new to Canada I would like to recommend you to go for midwives facility, they not only guide you but will be with you throughout your birthing journey.
