Great Canadian Oil Change

Not leaving a bad review for this because every other time I go, it's good service so no issue there. However, I found myself trying to come here for an oil change, it was 4:35pm on a Friday, location is open until 7pm according to Google. However once I got there found sn empty building, not opened and what seemed to be the last employee leaving in their car. Are the hours not until 7pm Fridays? I get not always being busy and could have slow time but not everyone is able to come before 5pm as they are all working and have jobs. Sometimes, fotlr a lot of people going for tasks like this can only be done after 4pm. If I am wrong about your hours please let me know and I will apologize. Everywhere I looked I saw 7pm on FridaysThanks!

Being a reviewer, I always wanted to help other businesses to be successful. Therefore all my reviews are based from my experiences, the way the staff treated their customers, if the place are free of hazard, clean, tidy, safe and accessible to disabled.I have 3 cars that I taken here annually or every six months, I took my 34 years old nissan fair lady last summer, for changed oil. They did not put the oil stick cover properly, when I got home, I smell burning oil, I opened the bonnet, and to my surprise the oil stick cover was about 2 inches where it should be, underneath was oil everywhere. Very disappointed.I took my BMW to have an oil chance today, to my surprised, it coast me $183, YES! Just an oil change. ( 10 minutes job)I went to Canadian tire straight away to find out how much does it cost for the oil. Exactly the same or IF NOT better.$69 for 5 litters.That’s exactly how much oil they put in to my Car!From now on, I don’t think, I will I am going back there. It’s just over priceThe reason I gave them 2** was also because the level of customer service there was poor, washroom was not clean. Waiting room is dirty and so untidy.If I were you, I shop around and look somewhere else. There are a lot of shop that be able to change your car oil, with reasonable price, that’s what I am going to do.

I was so pleased with a very professional and polite team at this location. Changed my tires and oil in 30 minutes with big smiles on their faces. Didn't bother me with 100 questions. Just asked which type if oil I needed. I don't remember being so happy after leaving oil change service

Been going here for years for oil changes and seasonal tire swaps. Great place, always polite and super professional.

I ran over a piece of metal on my way home. CAA wouldn’t patch the tire and told me to find somebody who did and thankfully they are up the street from my house so I was able to drive over. They jacked up my car patched the tire and put it back on in a very timely manner. Everybody there was extremely friendly and made my first experience with them a positive one.

Extremely overpriced oil changes. $120 for oil change on a suv... ended up getting it for $70 elsewhere. Full synthetic, too. Do not recommend it.

Great service and awesome customer service. The employees are always helpful and efficient. Every time I go to this oil changers all the employees are always so happy and in great moods, seems like a great environment.

Had an oil change here before (great job), however today upon arriving jan 13,2023 at 5:10pm, an employee came out and told me that they are currently servicing the last car of the day and no longer taking in any other cars and I said but you close at 7 pm, he responded with yes, but we are closing early today because it is so dead and we are losing money at this point. I had gone to prince of wales location before this but they were closed for maintenance. Drove to this location after to be turned away. I guess they will only work when it is convenient for them.

Did it fantastic work and they were fast and efficient and super polite and I would recommend them to anybody.

Came here to do a typical oil change and also do a battery replacement if possible. I already had a battery and it’s working well but close to its replacement time and warranty period so I decided to replace it with a new one from Costco, all this to say the battery was working fine.The oil change part went smooth and nothing to complain about. They do a fast and pretty standard procedure at a fair price. Fair game to them on that.The reason for my 2 star review is what happened next.I asked for a battery change and they quoted me 40$ since I was going to keep my battery ($20 if they kept it). The change really only takes a few minutes but the price was alright so I said sure. They did warn me that if the battery connectors were too rusty or damaged they couldn’t do a change which I agreed to. So they opened the hood and begin to disconnect the battery (i see this from inside of the car).The technician tried to unscrew the battery connectors but once he started determined the battery wouldn’t be changeable without fixing the connectors first. No problem I will leave it to get it fixed by mechanic after. They told me the oil change finished and when I went to turn my car on the car won’t start. I also notice smoke coming from the battery area (hood is open still). I tell them about this and the first response the tech says is “It wasn’t us, we didn’t mess with the battery”.I promptly told then they did in fact touch the battery and possibly messed with the connection and hence it’s not plugged in properly. There was 5 or 6 techs around and most of them seemed to agree something happened so they tried a few things and asked me to keep trying to turn my car on. Each time I saw the smoke coming out. It’s pretty clear they messed something up yet they didn’t want to admit it or take any responsibility.What shocked me was the unprofessionalism to nit admit they must have moved the connection while trying to change the battery and thus the issue. I had to go back and forth to get them to fix the battery issue which they tried by boosting it. It eventually worked but as soon as I left the shop and parked my car at Walmart I noticed the car won’t turn on without a boost anymore. My battery was short-circuited. Thankfully I carry a portable booster.In short, if you need a basic oil change it seems they do a reasonable job, but would not recommend any other service here. Tip to the crew, admitting you might have messed something up with working on a part and that you’ll try to fix it goes a long way. No one is going to sue you over a 200$ battery part fix. Be more professional than that. I will not be visiting at this location again and do not recommend it going forward.
