My husband and I went to Smash Kitchen (Whitby) for dinner around 6 PM on Victoria Day (Monday).It wasn't too busy. The restaurant was clean and tidy. All the servers were very polite and full of energy. The service was prompt.We ordered two cocktails from the Victoria Day Special Menu: Rocket Pop Lemonade and Blackberry Whisky Smash.Both of these cocktails were refreshing and tasty. I loved the BlackBerry Whisky Smash more.For the main course, I ordered Truffle Cream Rigatoni as I'm vegetarian. When my dish arrived, it smelled too good. I must say that I have never had such delicious pasta before. After I finished my meal, I told the server that the pasta was so tasty and I have never had such juicy pasta before. She replied, it's the cream saucr that we prepare in house.My husband ordered Nashville Chicken Sandwich with a side of Mini L.A. Mac & Cheese.He also said that his chicken sandwich was very tasty. Even the Mac & Cheese was good.Our overall experience was great.

I came here with some friends for dinner on a Saturday evening. It was busy but our server was attentive and our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time.I had the steak and a Caesar salad, which was very good, however I feel it was a little bit overpriced at $42. Everyone enjoyed their meals and service was good. I did find the lighting was rather dim, and the lights went down even further about half way through the meal, which made it almost too dark. I would come back, but it wouldn't be my very first choice.

I’ve been here a few times now. The Truffle fries are amazing and best with any of the handheld sandwiches/burgers. The Smash Cesar is my drink of choice here. They also have a happy hour and a great menu for the happy hours.

We had one of the best dining experience at Smash this evening. We were served by Jess. The food was AMAZINGGgg, good portions and the service was simply great. Staff were professional, friendly and actually mindful of the needs on the table and would come and refill water, or asked for if we needed anything else. We asked for food recommendations and they all turned out to be superstar items. The banana cake dessert was simply delectable and good portion size that we all could share amongst us. We had many questions about food and drinks and Jess was very knowledgeable and knew her stuff. There was slight mix up with our order, but she accepted the error right away as her mistake and they made it right very quickly.Overall, a FIVE STAR experience. We will go there again. Thank you Smash, please keep the same service, so not change anything.

We spent about 150 dollars worth of food before tax. I'm not sure if it was worth the money, but we did end up taking some of the food home. Our favorite was the mushroom Mac and cheese and the coconut caramel cake. I think I had quite a huge expectation before coming here since a lot of people gave me good reviews. We wanted to try a bit of everything that was offered on the menu so we ordered the southern platter which was really easy to split between the two of us ( the fried chicken was perfect and the ribs were tender). The truffle fries were good but even better with the garlic aioli. Lastly, we definitely recommend getting their coconut caramel cake, which was on their seasonal menu. It was too heavy and rich, and the texture of the caramel really made a nice difference. Apart from the food, it was a nice social restaurant with a really cool atmosphere. I think this would be perfect for a large group of friends, especially for picky eaters.

The food was unique and had loads of flavour. I wanted to try a smash burger so badly and the smash sauce and dill on it with the caramelized onions, it was so yummy. The corn bean dip which is an appetizer was amazing too. The LA Mac and Cheese is what they are known for, it is amazing and good the next day as well. The service was great as well and the restaurant was very clean. I will definitely be going back.Only thing I would say that was negative to me anyways, and it is a very little thing, they did not have a kids menu or something for my 6 year old to do while she was waiting. As a mother children need distraction while waiting for food, and this place took a bit longer then normal to make the food but it was worth the wait. ☺️

Went here with a buddy of mine for dinner. It's a nice spot with very good staff. The food is hot and miss in my opinion. Had the smash burger which unfortunately was unimpressive, it was fresh but it was very bland with very little flavour. The fries were good and so was the Calamari. The corn bread was too sweet for my liking but it was still good/fresh if you like it that way. I'm not sure if this was a one off, but my buddy thought the same thing about the burger being tasteless.. THe smash process should bring out more beef flavour but in this case, it did not. I may try a different location in the future.

The staff service was excellent. I went for dinner with a group of 10. The cocktails were really good. I enjoyed the mango mojito and the sangria is also a must try if you like that drink. For food, I got to try the cornbread (comes with butter), Fish N’ Chips, home-fried buttermilk chicken (which comes with mac and cheese), and Jerk chicken. I didn't like the Jerk chicken so much, and the combination of that and sweet potato mash didn't do it for my taste buds.Overall, the portion sizes were good. I didn't order the braised lamb, but I saw my friend eat it, and she said it was really good. I would go back to try that next time.Corn bread 8/10Jerk chicken 5/10Home fried buttermilk chicken 8.5/10

We didn't make reservations but was seated within 10mins on a busy Saturday night. The staff were kind and attentive. We ordered the Home Fried Buttermilk Chicken which came with a mac and cheese and coleslaw & BBQ Brisket Grilled Cheese (not pictured). Everything tasted great. However, the chicken was a bit salty for my liking. I definitely recommend this place and will eat there again.

We had a great time with family here. The food was all good and smash donuts were a great ending with dessert. The service is excellent and the staff are all very friendly and make sure you have a positive experience.
