Terrible place to golf don't waste your money or time. On the first hole the grounds keeper gave us trouble for going to slow we apologized and moved to the next hole cause he told us to skip it. We then completed the 2nd hole as another group ahead were teeing off on the 3rd hole so we had to wait for them to get to the green then we discussed if we should wait for them to get off the green cause we didn't know the proper golf rules since we're all new to the sport but the grounds keeper popped up again on his lawnmower giving us trouble about holding people up behind us yet nobody was behind us. I suppose us worried about safety is wrong? We should have taken our shots as they were walking off the same tee and joined that group. It doesn't sounds like the owners care about safety for their customers just the money they bring for them instead.

Have been coming to golf for the past six years. A well maintained 9 hole course that is family run. Always responsive, pleasant and accommodating. Just bought a membership. Golf etiquette is important to the course as it should be. We are always happy to play there

If I could give 0 stars I would. The women owner is very rude. Worst customer service I have received. None of the workers communicate and the owners are very rude to guests. Thank you for ruining what was supposed to be a fun bachelor trip. We are locals and we will not be returning. Do better.

Since Tom & Anne took over the golf course, they've made great improvements to both the course and the amenities. The new deck is spacious and enjoyable to sit and have a cold drink after a day on the course. The course has been consistently maintained and has really grown into great shape with their attention to detail. Both Tom & Anne have immersed themselves with the local community and really take the time to know the guests and members who are coming to their course to play. The website is easy to book a tee time on, the atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant and the experience is all around a good one. We have always loved playing at Sheffield and highly recommend it for anyone looking to play a fun, creative 9 hole course.

I've been playing at Sheffield Greens every year for 7 years now. It has always been a good experience. The staff are always friendly, respectful and welcoming.Recent negative reviews are 100% different from my own experience and the experience of dozens of other golfers who play there regularly. This leads me to believe that the negative reviews are coming from people who are (probably) not regular golfers and who have no knowledge of or regard for the basic rules of golf and golf etiquette. If they chose not to come back, there will be lots of respectful and knowledgeable golfers to fill the time slots!

Golfed with three buddies today, wife said I could only go if I take our oldest son. Only golf course I've ever been to that says a 2 year old counts as a 5th member of the party. Then they said only 2 people per cart, so I tried to get another cart for just me and him. They said you can't have 3 carts in a group. So I figured I was going home, luckily my friends offered to walk so me and my 2 year old could ride a cart. Bunch of losers, will not be back.

If you're thinking about golfing here, run as far as you can away from them. My future son in law had his bachelor party there today. It was booked in advance, they all checked in together and their money was happily taken. The first 9 holes was good, but when they tried to do another 9, someone complained about the size of their party. They were then asked to leave. Not because they were intoxicated and causing trouble, but because their reservation and money was accepted and someone wasn't happy. They were told they could get a refund for the last 9 holes, but were made to wait an hour for it. My daughter tried to call to discuss this matter, and the owner was so rude, swearing and dismissing her. My son in law's greater pleasure is golfing and that's all he wanted for his bachelor party, and they ruined it. SHAME ON YOU SHEFFIELD GREENS

I want to preface this review by mentioning that I am a new golfer, which influenced my experience. We were also told that we were running behind but it was later revealed that our tee times were on schedule and our only delay henceforth was that of processing. We started our first hole with two subgroups of four players who were playing the same best ball. However, we were informed by two different individuals, albeit not in the friendliest manner, that it was against the rules to have more than four players at any given hole. We apologized and continued playing, but I felt closely followed for the remainder of our time. Approximately a minute later, someone approached me, mentioning that we were taking too long and urging us to speed up. Feeling pressured, I reluctantly picked up my ball and moved on to the second hole out of the nine. Our drive on the second hole ended up on the green. I spoke with the driver afterwards to understand why this was wrong, as well as the signs that were displayed. We acknowledged our mistake when approached again by the same individual, apologizing and reinforcing that we were still very new to the game and playing in a rushed manner. This conversation was not an issue as we can understand the work it takes to maintain the property, and assured that we now know and it won't happen again. When we reached the third hole, we had to wait because the two players ahead of us were on foot and only halfway through the hole. Once they reached the green, we deliberated on whether to proceed and decided to go after they left. Unfortunately, we were approached for the fourth time and asked to hurry up once more. Moreover, we were spoken down to, being told that there was no way we could hit the ball that far and we should have gone sooner. At this point, we started feeling uncomfortable, as it seemed we were being targeted by multiple people and blatantly followed, rather than being provided guidance or knowledge as beginners. It's important to note that we specifically chose a nine-hole course for this reason, knowing that some of us were new to the sport and just trying it out while celebrating Father's day. After a brief argument, they offered us a refund if we voluntarily left. While I wasn't present, it was implied that we were taking too long, and when we asked if a refund and leaving would be a better solution, it was encouraged instead of suggesting alternatives that could satisfy all parties involved, such as allowing those behind us to play through. Feeling frustrated and unwelcome due to the constant monitoring, we decided to accept their offer and leave. As newcomers to the sport, this experience left a negative impression on us, and we would not recommend this course to others. We appreciate the staff's position, but we felt that we weren't treated with the same respect as a group of new golfers on Father's Day who were simply trying to enjoy our time.Edit for reply:Thank you for the reply. I hope you can take the time to review what I posted and see that I acknowledged and took responsibility on behalf of the driver. We only had two experienced golfers with us, so asking me to both speak to them and play ahead of them is redundant as they were playing together in the other group. We did not know that there were rules stating that we required experienced golfers. My main premise was that you followed me and talked down to me every time I spoke, even encouraging me to skip the first hole based on my speed which quite frankly is discrimination towards those who may have disabilties. I also acknowledged your stance on the other incidents.Your fallacious statement about us waiting for the previous group only reinforces my argument, as it suggests that you were targeting us with subjective and unfounded bias. It's clear from your comment you are unwelcoming people new to the spot. This is not a discussion board, so I will leave my review as it is, as I sadly cannot lower my rating.

Absolutely the worst experience of my life, Terrible owners and super impatient for larger groups. They are verbally insalting to my beginner friends and only have respect to members only. Do not recommend this course
