So happy we ended up bringing our dog here! They took him in right away after we noticed some concerning symptoms, and took such good care of him. We really appreciated being consulted every step of the way before any tests or treatments were administered, they were very considerate of our needs and took things one step at a time to avoid unnecessary charges. Staff was really caring and communicative. Pricing is very competitive. Doctor Saeid Arefi is wonderful, never has a vet offered personal cell phone access to them until midnight for any concerns/video calls! We were so impressed. He’s genuine in his care, will definitely be switching over as our regular care provider!

We were referred to Dr. Saeid by a friend after having a horrible experience at a previous clinic. Our kitten was initially fitted with a cone that was too loose, which resulted in complications with her spay recovery. Her incision became infected and none of it was resolved by the previous care providers after multiple procedures and even a visit to the animal ER. We spent in total over $2k before coming to see Dr. Saeid as our previous family vet could not understand and solve the issue. Our baby had been through such a rough week, 3 procedures requiring sedation within 7 days because the previous vets could not effectively treat the issue.Dr. Saeid took one look at her and knew exactly what needed to be done after gathering information about her medical history. He was honest about the situation, straight to the point and had a gameplan from the start. This is the kind of vet that I want to be treating my pet. He is a problem-solver and will do his best to make our pet well again. It's been one day post-surgery under Dr. Saeid's care and I can already see the drastic improvement compared to last week. Our kitten seems happier and much more like her old self.We were also impressed that he will take after hour calls and this shows how much he prioritizes the lives of our beloved pets.I also want to commend his staff for being comforting and taking their time to make sure we understand the steps for the aftercare. It seems like his staff are also knowledgeable about the situation and kept in the loop too. This was something that was lacking at our previous clinic, which goes to show that Poco West is well managed.10/10 would recommend him to anyone.

Quick and friendly service, doctor is thorough, kind and explains what is going on well. Front desk staff are nice, however, a bit confusing... said I could choose between 2 medications but ended up just giving me the more expensive one (I was going to choose that one anyway!) Pricing very comparable with other vets I have visited.

I have been bringing Luna to Poco West since they opened. The staff is very kind and accomodating. I have not had to wait for an appointment even on short notice they have managed to get us in quickly. Luna has suffered with allergies for a number of years and we have struggled to keep the skin condition under control without success until we followed the protocol and meds given by Poco West. She is now 4 months free from weeping sores on her tummy and underarms. This to me seems nothing short of miraculous. I will recommend their services to everyone I know with a pet. Dr. Arefi and the staff at Poco Animal West Veterinary Hospital are all wonderful, we have received such amazing care for our two senior cats. One of our cats had a chronic medical condition that we worked as a team to manage and our cat lived to 13 despite his condition and when it was time for end of life care, he received everything he needed to be comfortable and have a peaceful end of life. Our other cat had broken her tooth and she received surgery to remove the tooth and is doing great. We wouldn’t take our cats anywhere else.

My Yorkie does not feel uncomfortable at this vet, in the past he has always had such a hard time and was scared at other vets. His ear cleaning was done really well and he had a full body x-ray done where they sent the results to a radiologist and the vet called us within one day to let us know the results. Great service recieved here!

Brought my cat in because he was sick after bringing up a hair ball but he was not getting better and kept getting sick. My normal vet didn’t have any openings till much later the next day but Poco west was able to get me in within the hour and made room for me the next few days for observation and the eventual surgery, my cat ate a bunch of things he wasn’t suppose to and it caused a blockage.The vet and staff were lovely and answered my questions and took their time to explain my options and took great care of my cat even if he was only showing them his newfound spicy side (sorry again for that) the cost was more than estimated but still way better than an emergency vet would be. I hope I never have to but I would go to them again

My dog Buzz received the most amazing treatment here when his health was failing. I could not be more appreciative for Dr. Arefie and his veterinary team. My dog has suffered physically since adoption and he has 4 other veterinarians but I would never choose any of those again because I will be a lifetime customer of this animal hospital. They let me come and visit my Miniature Bull Terrier and take him for a walk/spend time with him when he was sick. The doctor thoroughly explained his Xray and had his blood test and urine analysis back in a timely manner. Being in the animal husbandry industry myself; I could not have admired his techniques and thoroughness more. His team is kind, understanding and professional. I was reluctant to even leave a review, but if I could save another animal from a poor experince I'd do it in a heartbeat. I took my little Luna here for a spay because other vets were quoting me double.End price came just over $300, and I guess it's true when you get what you pay for. The vet was very cold, impersonable and seemed very disorganized. You could clearly see they had way too much going on to handle. A big lack of comforting distressed pets as well.We were called to arrive for 530, waited 20 minutes before she was brought out due to being overwhelmed. I gave specific intructions for her spay suit to be put on instead of a cone. She came out with nothing. They did no trimming of her nails for safety purpose, which is a standard practice for a spay.Followed by the assistant coming back out frantically searching for the pain medication to give us. He thought he left it inside our carrier which he carelessly began moving My cat around and flopping her side to side searching for it. She appeared to be highly undersedated as she was wide awake for the remainder of the evening and night. Very spooked and bouncing herself into the air.To top it off there was fresh trails of blood all over the floor which was unsettling to say the least. Right out in the open outside of the staff only sign" leading upto the front desk.No pet passport included of documentation of her spay.Is my baby alive? Yes.Would I recommend? Hell no.I feel terrible for going with a low cost vet. Never again."

As we had horrible experience with previous clinics, my co-worker recommended me to come here.Dr. Saeid immediately pointed out the infection with my cat, which previous vets didn't have any idea but kept closing the wound and made it worse. Dr. Saeid went straight to the point and saved my cat.Also, front desk staff were super helpful as they explained how to administer the medicine while previous clinic's staff seemed too bothered to even do it when we asked.On top of that, Dr. Saeid asked us to contact him even in midnight if something's wrong with my cat, which we didn't have to but we really appreciated.My cat is healthy now in the picture. Can't even want to imagine what would've happened to her if I didn't come here.I totally recommend this clinic.
