I had the pleasure of dining at Nox, the newest Vancouver based establishment by Alejandro Diaz and Sam Fabbro, known for New West’s el Santo and Amaranthus. An intimate restaurant space located in Coal Harbour with an accessible spacious private dining area that’s great for celebratory events or important meetings. The menu has a great selection of house made pastas, and is pescatarian, gluten-free, vegetarian friendly. From the items I tried, I enjoyed the cicchettis, braised pork & pear gnocchi, bison tartare, wild boar, panna cotta, and cheesecake. The dishes were presented well, good portion and the flavours were well balanced. The scallops were too salty and the frisée was too bitter. The ribeye was inconsistently seasoned amongst the table as multiple orders were made. Some were perfectly seasoned, others were not. There is no parking for restaurant guests in the building, only street parking or nearby parking lots.Overall I am pleased with the various selections of the menu. And I would definitely come back.Having a lunch seating would be nice, especially for pedestrians since Nox is close to the seawall.Thank you for the wonderful dinner!

Very nice ambiance. Smaller than expected. It is attached to a hotel. Service was decent. Host and server were friendly. Food was decent. Could be better. Pricing is decent. No duck was available the night we were there, unfortunately. I really enjoyed the cheese cicchetti. The gnocchi could be better. It was abit hard. The pork terrine could be better. It was abit dry. The cheesecake was good! The tiramisu was okay. Kind of what I expected but not bad for the bar or for a hotel restaurant!

this place absolutely slaps and exceeded my expectations. we went for happy hour and bled into the dinner menu. everything on the happy menu was delicious and great value. the chicchetti was my favorite (esp the Golden Ears cheesecrafters neufchatel, honey, and the Duck leg confit, smoked apple jam). the la dea cocktail was refreshing and delicious. and the service was fantastic. i’m coming back. often.

First time here for a team dinner and loved everything. Most of us ordered the 4 course meat dinner for $55 and everything was great. Scallop was perfect, gnocchi was so yummy, rib eye was perfection and cheesecake was yummy. My Vulkan and Cali drinks was top notch too. Our server Sam was awesome too and even took our photos. I will be back and I will bring my family.

Came for a friend's birthday as we heard a lot of good things. This restaurant has great ideas being an Italian West Coast fusion but I found it a little weird to have two completely different sections for an eating area. Also parking is not the easiest to find in that area. When you walk in you are greeted by a georgeous bar and the ambiance is definitely a sheek downtown vibe. We were placed in the back which has a nice wine display. I ended up ordering the set menu and was a little dissappointed. The food presentation was nice but quality didn't live up to the hype. Now this isn't the reason why I gave this review a 3 star. The main reason is the fact that we waited almost an hour to get our main dish when it was a 3 course menu. Now I get things can get hectic and backed up but there was no communication and the place wasn't even full. We had to bring it up to the waitress which I know isn't her fault and she did her best to rectify the issue with come champagne but the experience ruined it for the birthday girl. We even brought a cake which we had to bring to our next venue to eat as we were running late. Overall not the best experience.

Loved the intimate ambiance of the restaurant! It’s not too noisy so you can actually have a conversation over drinks. Cocktails were great - well crafted. The $55 set menu is an excellent value, all the dishes are delicious. The manager Lucy was lovely.

We went for happy hour, but ended up getting the $55 - 4 course meal each. We also ordered the bison tartare off the happy hour menu. Everything was very tasty. They made my carbonara with gluten free noodles. It was very good, but a bit dry. The wild boar was a bit dry, but still tender. The La Dea was our favourite drink, although, it's the only one we had because we all liked it so much.Overall, a very good experience and we'll be back.
