Plato's Closet Abbotsford

Great quality thrift store items and I love that I can bring my quality clothing to sell back to them for cash or trade on new-to-me clothing. I'm usually disappointed that they wouldn't take as many clothes as I brought but I understand their reasons. They say to try again in case they couldn't take the clothes due to being overstocked or out of season.

Really solid store, but my most recent visit here was a bit of a letdown. Everything was super messy and disorganized, not sized, and a lot of it was just junk Shein and AliExpress clothes. Used to be way more name brands.Prices on clothes are good, especially name brands. Cute stickers you can buy at the front. Selling clothes has never been easier! The last few times I've visited, I've waited about ten minutes for the text saying they were ready to give me my cash. They often take most of my items. I'm fairly pleased with Plato's, but I hope next time I visit that it's more organized and easier to browse.

Don't waste your time here dropping off your clothes!! I brought a bag in and they said it will take 45 min to look over . Not even 10 minutes I got a text to pick it up . All the clothes were the same in the bag as when I brought it in ! They didn't even look through the bag !!!!! And i had good stuff in there better stuff then they have for sale !! Waste of time

Plato's closet is a great place to sale and buy clothes and accessories. All sizes and styles are available. Some 70's and 80's cloth are hidden treasures.We found some brand pieces to a good price. Handbags and hats, even little accessories where a good deal. We live going ,as we can always try to sale our cloth and either get cash or store credits. It's always worth a try.

What a concept: a local place buy second hand—and it's open after 5 pm! I love both shopping and selling here, I have found lots of hidden gems that are now staples in my closet.With that said, I would recommend only selling here if you're okay with getting anywhere between $3 - $5 for that item. I have been offered under $10 for a jacket that I turned around and sold for $30.It's a great way to make some quick cash if you were going to donate your clothes anyway, but keep that in mind for big ticket items.

Pricing is fairly reasonable. The store is clean. You definitely need to look over some items though as I’ve found cute clothes there and once I got home I noticed stains, rips or other imperfections. I am not a fan of the staff, they are usually rude or too busy to help, but that's what you get when you hire younger teenagers.

Dont waste your time selling to platos youll make more selling your items on marketplace. I tried to bring in a couple big bags of clothes to sell and they took three items saying it wasnt in style or theres too much wear, yet like previous reviews they were pretty much brand new or not even worn. While i was waiting i heard one of the employees picking out items “she” wanted and saying “yeah i want that”, this employee was wearing a black crop top with grey lowrise sweatpants with her entire mid drift hanging out. You should be more transparent with your customers that its up to the individuals working style preference that determines what gets accepted. And also if your not looking for current styles or brands please let people know when they call and ask about the process instead of saying yeah we take clothes just come in and waste their time.
