This was the best matzoh ball soup I have had in years. The texture of the matzoh balls themselves was simply outstanding. This was followed by the Old Fashioned - homemade rye piled high with pastrami. I got the medium fatty cut. Unbelievable. Highly recommended.

Adress for great tasting Deli Sandwiches. I tried old fashioned on double rye and it was amazing. Each an every item in their menu can be ordered without concern.

Sandwiches have a healthy portion if any meat of your choice, the Montreal smoked meat fell apart in my mouth, so tender! Hubby had the smoked turkey, just as delicious. The food here is made with love and it shows.Staff are very friendly and accommodating and helpful for suggestions when you don't know what you want.Definitely coming back to this super cozy deli.

The chicken soup had no chicken in it and the noodles were falling apart from being over cooked. The bowl was dirty with a crust on the lip and when I alerted the server, she took it away but left it on the bill.Smoked meat was good, rest of the food we had was just OK.Paying the bill took forever, was disorganized and the person ringing in the orders said nothing and had no pulse.One waitress working the whole floor, run off her feet.Too bad - sounds like this used to be a good place to eat but not now from what we saw.

The food was very good as always and the portions were huge. The service unfortunately wasn't the greatest. Some of our order took forever to arrive and parts of it didn't arrive at all. Generally speaking the experience was good and we had a group of 10 so it's not the easiest table to serve. I would recommend this place any day of the week. Just be prepared to possibly deal with some grumpy service. But hey maybe that's part of the charm of the place ?

amazing experience. Went here to visit in honor of a late great friend & mentor of mine who had passed away. It was his favorite spot.The lady at the takeout order counter was extremely friendly and even went out of her way to let me sample some of the meats before ordering. Great customer service, and super friendly!Will definitely be back.

Inspired by Snowdon deli in Montreal. The older, warm, friendly server insisted that we get the old fashioned special done medium. It was very moist. The spiced edges of the old-fashioned meat are very tasty. I didn't receive the pickled red pepper or dill pickle. Server was happy to rectify the issue. Bright coleslaw is a smart complement to richness of the French fries and meats. Four kinds of mustard.Big place, lots of tables. Not too busy on a Sunday around 11:30 am. There was no line up even by 1 p.m.

Lovely deli.The staff here are lovely, so full of personality and enthusiasm. My partner, who it was his first time here, asked if we knew the waitress because of how friendly she was.The decor is fun and old school. The walls tell a story.The food is good, but a bit dry. However the portion sizes and cost make up for it.Overall a good place to grab a bite for the experience or for an inexpensive deli experience

Best deli sandwiches in the Toronto area. Since Caplansky closed a while back, I was looking for a new place. I had been here years ago but hadn’t been back since I moved away from the area. Business recently took me back to the area so my dad and I tried this place out again. A good sign was that it was very busy, even on a non-holiday or non-weekend day. The meat in the sandwich was tender and tasty. The cole slaw and fries were also tasty. I will definitely be back as soon as possible.
