Came here for the first time with a friend. We arrived late at night and were accomodated to the outside patio. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Staff was friendly and nice. We ordered the the pierogie flatbread, the cauliflower wings and churros and ice cream for dessert. Staff was very accomodating with mishaps and the cauliflower wings were so delicious and fried to perfection with the thai sauce. Was overall happy with the customer service and food and would be interested in trying other options.

I come here whenever I'm visiting my family in Oakville because it's close to their house and I always need a drink when I'm in this god-forsaken town of endless suburban sprawl, non-existent bike lanes and frustrating car dependence. Don't even get me started on the new overpass cutting through the valley and forest trails - that thing is ruining the only redeeming qualities of this area.Anyway, this pub is fine. It doesn't stand out much other than being closed on Sundays - already leagues better than one of the other pubs nearby that's closed on Saturdays (?!). Plus it's not a mediocre franchise (viz. the nearby Boston Pizza), so extra points. Giving this one extra star because it has dark wood and slightly sticky surfaces just like a proper Canadian British pub.Only downsides are that they missed the opportunity to call this pub 'The Fat Friar', which is what I always mistakenly call it, and their choice of sports on the TV, which is bland but innocuous enough.

Chicken Buffalo Poutine was very good. A bit more spicy than usual, but delicious.Service good and fast (not too many people at the moment I believe cause was afternoon). Will go back to try something different.

Went with some family on 06/09. Probably the worst run resturant I’ve ever been too. We had 6 different people come to our table throughout the night completely unprepared every time. My girlfriends food came with one of two appetizers we ordered her fish was hard as a rock. Her order was wrong waited another 10 minutes for the right fries to come. our food was ice cold obviously waiting out very long. Young waitress hit my brothers beer and beer went everywhere but just continued on like nothing happened. We waited another 30 minutes we had to go get someone to get the bill. $250 we were double charged drinks and it was impossible to get more help. Don’t go here if you value your money in any way shape or form. Worst resturant I’ve ever been to and I’m not picky.

Stout use to have the best Nachos in the City, then new ownership changed them. Now 2 years later another set of owners are taking over and eliminating Nachos from the Menu altogether. Use to be our go to for Pub Food…So now a pub with no Nachos.. time to find another Go To…

Nice little gem!The food is extremely delicious and the music is on point! I had the sliders which were phenomenal! Definitely an interesting way to make a patty that doesn't taste tradition but tastes equally delicious if not better. I asked about it and it was a family recipe which is another incredibly thing about the place; it's family owned and run. The staff was all incredibly welcoming and friendly and you can tell it's a respectful family business. The wing flavours were delicious! Ceasars come well garnished which is a plus for me ;) Also a pattern ship with Cameron's, a local brewery in Oakville, they offer some of their delicious beers! worth trying out! (sorry I ate.most of the food before taking pictures omnomnom)

It was our first time at the Stout Monk, we went in for some drinks and food last weekend. Our server, Aren, had a lot of great menu suggestions, of which we ordered and were very happy with our food. Service was great, quick and friendly. Really enjoyed our experience. Will go again and hopefully get the same server and try out some other menu recommendations!

Not many people when we were seated. Food was pretty good. Steak was cooked nicely but could use a tad more seasoning. The fries and Mac and cheese side were decent! Our server was nice. We got cutlery and side plates after the food was brought to our table. I wanted to get a drink refill and got it at the end of the meal. I think they got slammed all at once. It eventually got pretty busy. Nice atmosphere. The bar stool I was sitting in was really wobbly and I forgot to mention it to the server.Definitely coming back! Love love love the Cauliflower bites! Great drizzle and dipping sauce. The portion is big enough for 4 people to enjoy. Overall, excited to try other things on the menu.
