If I'd known this company had so many bad reviews I would have never let my pool company purchase 'very expensive' items from them. 1 season later, both items have failed and neither my pool company nor this company can be bothered returning my calls. I'm on my own, left to figure out how to fix these items that no longer work after a very short period of use. Disappointed is an understatement. It's basically a rip off.

Hayward Service is an oxymoron. I wish I had read their service history before purchasing one of their pool pumps. I've called multiple times over a period of a few days. On hold for over 90 minutes the first time and the service" person attempted a transfer which disconnected the line. Called back and chose the call back option. Hayward called back 3 hours later and immediately hung up when I picked up. Exactly the same thing happened just now. Hayward calls back and immediately hangs up when I pick up.Subpar

The Hayward pool lights are defective as acknowledged by Hayward. Hayward does not support their product. These lights blow all the time. Maybe every 200 hours of use. The service manager told me that Ford will not warrant his car so he will not support his defective lights. They know there are manufacturing defects but are still selling the defective product. Stay away from Hayward lights unless you want nothing but aggravation.

Substandard products and poor customer service. Heater over 6 seasons has had multiple issues and cost me $1,800 in repairs. My brother has a Pentair, running 10 yrs no issues.Pool robot needed 3 warranty repairs (obviously I have nothing better to do in the summer) and this year cost me $230 to repair.After multiple messages and emails the customer service manager won't call me back. I purchased a full Hayward solution, pump, heater, salt system, filter, robot and I can't get a call back?

DO NOT BUY POOL HEAT PUMP FROM HAYWARD ! THERE WARRANTY POLICY IS SO RIDICULOUS THAT THEY WANT YOU TO BUY A NEW ONE ALMOST EVERY YEAR WHEN IT STOPS WORKING ! I HAVE BOUGHT A IN JUNE 2021 AND THIS YEAR MY HEAT EXCHANGER CRACKED AND THEY ARE TELLING ME BECAUSE OF THE FREEZING WEATHER IT CRACKED SO IT NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND ON THERE WARRANTY POLICY THEY WROTE THAT BECAUSE THEY KNOW THERE PARTS ARE NOT FREEZE PROOF FOR CANADIAN WINTER AND I HAD A PROPANE HEAT PUMP BACK IN 2006 AND I NEVER HAD THAT THIS ISSUE BECAUSE THERE PARTS WERE NOT MADE OF OF CHEAP PLASTIC !HERE IS THE PICTURE OF HAYWARD CHEAP QUALITY MADE PLASTIC PRODUCT !

I'm in the pool service business and have been impressed lately with Hayward's response to technical issues that come up. They are understaffed but still manage to work with us and take care of their dealers if you are patient. Shout out to Paul, Steve, Guy and others.

Avoid this company. Our contractor installed a pool heater that failed inside of 6 months. Warranty customer service has been a nightmare. Service representatives are completely disengaged. I have authorized technicians ready to go in my area but Hayward is incapable of dispatching them despite numerous calls.

I can't even get thru to Hayward. Been on hold over an hour then phone cuts off multiple times. Brand new cordless robovac battery died within the hour upon 1st use. Discount Pool & Spa store in Ajax where purchased refuses to take it back & deal with Hayward themselves on our behalf. Poor customer service all around.

Hayward does not support their products! If a pool heater fails after 6 weeks causing water damage and excessive water consumption their customers should not have to pay to have a gas technician complete a report and submit photos prior to replacing the defective part. My gas technician already examined the heater once and expressed shock that it was in the same condition my previous 3 year old Hayward heater was in when we replaced it. The excuse that the heater was purchased online and therefore there is no service warranty is a flimsy one. I am expected to have a gas technician make a service call, complete a report and submit photos all at my own cost. In addition IF a replacement part is approved I will then have to pay the technician to come back and install the part. I feel that this is very poor customer service when a company refuses to stand by their products for longer than 6 weeks. I will never buy another Hayward product!

Hayward has a very poor warranty program. The heat exchange on my pool heater failed after 23 months (12 months of use as not used in winter) . My warranty was 24 months. Their authorized dealer charged labour to determine problem (which I was fine with) but Hayward had the dealer come back a second time to take pictures, causing me a double labour charge. Poor product (failed after 12 months of use) and they don't trust their authorized dealers. I would NOT recommend Hayward.
