Lino has been our family mortgage broker for as long as I can remember. My parents introduced him to me years back as the guy to go to because he will make it happen. He has done a few mortgages for me now and with the last one most recently being extremely challenging being self employed, It was not easy but he was able to navigate through all the challenges and got it done! I can't thank Lino and his team enough!

I have had the great pleasure of working with Lino 3 times now. He made our family dream home happen 10 years ago when he was with RBC which was challenging as it was 10 acres and we were self-employed. He came recommended by the home sellers realtor when our broker failed. Lino made the process easy and oddly not stressful when things like this INTIMATE and STRESS me! I recommended him to a family member a couple of years later and he was magic making it an easy and great experience for her, a single self-employed income home. Come 10 years later when I went to renew with RBC this year and what a nightmare. I reached out to Lino again as things were not right thankfully and once again the gates opened to everything we wanted and then some, even when there were unexpected last minute challenges from us he had to navigate through but HE DID IT. He made it all happen and got us the best interest in challenging times and had our back through the entire process. RUN don’t WALK to his office, he will leave you wishing everyone you deal with provided his level of service. I will only use Lino from this point on.

Lino didn't explain any part of my mortgage with me, other than giving me a variable rate that's obviously skyrocketed. He made me sign all of the documents and kicked me out of his office after 10 minutes, when I drove an hour to him. In addition, I had an accepted offer that fell through where a bridge loan was required and after my next offer on a different property was accepted that DID NOT require a bridge loan, they still believed I needed a bridge loan and I would have most likely paid for it, if I was complacent and didn't question his work. To add to this, in the midst of my transaction and attempting to organize communication between my lawyer and Lino, Lino went on vacation to Greece and did not communicate his time away or leave any contact information for someone to assist with any questions or concerns regarding the transaction. Furthermore, after 6 weeks of ownership in the new property, my mortgage payments were not being withdrawn and there was a hold on my account with Scotiabank because he manually inputted my bank account information incorrectly with the account numbers in an incorrect sequence. I would highly suggest you find another mortgage broker that treats their clients with some form of respect and understands the importance of communicating with their clients, especially when dealing with such a large purchase.
