After escaping the horrors of Waste connections formerly waste something else / formerly BFI (They have to keep changing their name) these guys are a breath of fresh air. You know when you are dealing with an honest, fair and reputable company and this is it. I hope they dont sell out to the huge pirate operation. HOW DO YOU TELL HOW A COMPANY TRULY IS?The easiest way is by how the employees are treated and how business is conducted.By what is on the inside. Not the facade on the outside.I was treated horribly. I was hired for a position and thrown all over the place with no true training. Setup to fail, expecting me to just get everything perfect without training using different equipment I have never used before.I have been in the field for ages and ages and have contracted to a few companies and the way things are done by those other companies are quite the same. But this company expects you to be a robot and do everything perfectly. However, with a large portion of aggressive employees, it is anything BUT perfect.A lot of supervisors and no one wants to take responsibility for anything. They pass it onto the money-makers (workers) instead.All of the equipment is damaged, faulty or needing serious repairs. I ran a truck that lost it's hydraulics. It also had a defective electrical engine harness. It would nearly stall in traffic. You had to wiggle the wires in traffic to get it to be drivable.There were several workers off work due to injuries (from work or equipment).I never had a chance to start my position. They fired me over the telephone. (Which is not a legal or recognized method in Alberta). Nor is email or voicemail.This situation is not new. I heard the same from others. The 2.3 stars/5.0 should've been a huge red flag. I learned a lesson.

Edit: Service has been excellent since the issue.So far I am not a great fan of their garbage pickup service. Before I moved homes I lived in an area that had GFL picking up the garbage, not once did they miss my bin and not take my garbage and we had three households sharing 2 bins. Keep in mind garbage service is every 2 weeks. This company now at my new home missed my bin completely or didn’t make sure it dumped, so now we have an over flowing trash bin, which they probably still won’t collect next pickup because of this, so fingers crossed, because you know it’s only their job..

Just saw these guys go through the area collecting recycling. Darn hard working guys. I was stuck in a line of cars waiting to drop my kid off at school while they cleared a block in like.. 60s. Very impressive. The labourer might as well have been an Olympic marathon runner.

Their services sucks! I wish the city can just do the job their self. Missed garbage day in our street and have the guts to say 2 weeks later that the garbage was full. Yes it’s full because you missed garbage pick up!

I was doing a huge spring clean out of my basement and needed a waste bin fast. CWD delivered me a bin the next day and their pricing was great, no surprises and everything was explained to me. They were so awesome to deal with, I would recommend this company to anyone.
