The Humble Lotus

My wife and I had the privilege of reserving the Chef's Table at the Humble Lotus last week, and let me tell you, it was an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, Jared and My treated us like VIPs, and their attention to detail throughout the entire evening left us completely stunned.Imagine being served course after course of exceptional quality ingredients that were prepared with meticulous care and paired perfectly with their own beautifully crafted sauces. Each dish was thoughtfully accompanied with exquisite trimmings that left us in awe and eager for more. They started off with some of our all-time favorites and seamlessly transitioned into a series of off-menu surprises that continued to exceed our expectations. I cannot stress enough just how exceptional the dishes we savored that day were—they easily rank among the best culinary experiences we've ever had. I'm not exaggerating one bit.It's worth mentioning that we've been loyal patrons of the Humble Lotus since it first opened, so over time, we've together come to know exactly what our ideal dining experience should be. However, Jared and My truly showcased their cooking skills, and every single dish they presented was nothing short of amazing. Their genuine passion for creating and sharing an unforgettable culinary journey is evident in every bite.We had an incredibly enjoyable time at the Humble Lotus, and we will definitely be returning for our anniversary dinner and more.Thank you guys. My new favorite sushi restaurant (and I don't think that's ever going to change)! I love the á la carte approach to sushi as you get to try so many options. Every roll was delicious and paired with an amazing sauce. The flavours were so creative and there were so many vegetarian options! Mai and Jared are so helpful and friendly!

Sushi is my absolute favourite food and I have gone to many restaurants and I haven’t experienced anything like this. My and Jared have done an amazing job with this golden gem downtown Kitchener. The textures and flavours combinations are nothing like I have ever had while eating sushi !Highly recommend trying the Canadian Campfire!Amazing job you two! Xoxo

The staff and food is phenomenal!! I have never been somewhere so concious of their customers, it was an experience that I find to be very rare these days. I will continue to come back any time I need my sushi fix. Thank you for going above and beyond!

I recently visited a The Humble Lotus Sushi Market and had a great experience. The selection of sushi was good and the food was of high quality. I bought the Philadelphia roll with salmon and the California roll with shrimp, and both were tasty. Also a new special roll which was amazing. The sushi was fresh and the flavors were good.I also had the chance to talk to the sushi chef about their ingredients and techniques, which was a really interesting experience. It was clear that the dishes were made with care.I recommend this sushi market. The selection of sushi is good and the ingredients are fresh. If you like sushi, it's worth checking out.

One of the best dinner experiences I have ever had! And definitely the best and most creative sushi I have ever eaten! The staff is kind and welcoming. Best sushi I’ve had since I lived in Japan. Jared is an artist committed to fresh ingredients, blending traditional style with modern creativity. They're making some of the best food in the city. Period.If you haven't stopped into the shop, you're missing out - such a great way to experiment with flavours you wouldn't normally try. I promise you'll be pleasantly surprised, and so glad that we have this kind of craft in our city!Pro Tip: This shop is busy! Call ahead for your order! There is only the chef’s table (2 people) so do not expect a traditional seated dining room.

Hands down the best sushi I've ever had in my life paired with phenomenal service. The restaurant is owned by a husband and wife team who are clearly very passionate about the business. They immediately noticed that my friend and I haven't been in before and took their time to discover our preferences and dietary restrictions. We let them curate a box based on those facts and omg they were fantastic! The quality for the price is out of this world, plus they have a la carte window so I can have a little of several different rolls. I can't wait to return to try more of their unique sushi.

This was one of the best food experiences I have ever had. I am not super experienced with sushi and have found getting into it intimidating. Things were either high quantity but dubious quality, or snobby affairs where questions were met with scorn.The Humble Lotus is a wonderful change to that. Jared and Mai are incredibly friendly and asked me a few questions to learn what I liked and didn't like, then offered suggestions and samples to help guide me. After a few samples they created a flight of nigri for me that let me explore. Everything I ate was just incredibly delicious and got me excited to go back and try more. The restaurant is very small with only one two seat chef's table, but lots of to go options. This is definitely a place you want to plan ahead for as it can get so busy they turn off more orders because they will only take as many orders as they can handle well. The people first service and obvious love for food is infectious and won me over immediately.The food is not cheap, but not over priced for good quality and all tips (which are never mandatory) go to Food 4 Kids.I absolutely can not wait to go back!

I recently visited The Humble Lotus and was blown away by my experience. From start to finish, the service was exceptional, and the food was simply divine. I was particularly impressed with the creativity and flavor combinations! They offer sushi a La carte and this allows you to try a variety of different rolls. They also have options for everyone, regardless of your dietary restrictions. If you're a vegan or vegetarian, you NEED to visit this restaurant asap.
