Shoppers Drug Mart

This is the worst pharmacy I’ve been to by far. My prescription should be on autorefill. Ran out with no notification that it was ready. Called and they blamed me for not calling earlier despite never having to do so before. Before I left I was assured that autorefill had been turned on and would be ready for my next refill. Lo and behold I’m out and no text. Called to ask why this was happening again and the pharmacist once again said I should have called to earlier. What is the point of having autorefill if I’m calling again every time and having them blame me for their own ineptitude?!

The pharmacy here is being run by an unprofessional pharmacist. They will make you wait for 15-30 minutes just to tell you that they don’t have the prescription. They’re frantically calling around to try to get the ingredients through the back door. A year ago when they were given covid vaccines, they would only give it to people of their own ethnicity. They also discount over the counter pills that expire within a week or two. This place should be closed down.

The pharmacist at this location is really rude. My doctor has sent the prescription to this pharmacy three days before and I have been contacting them to deliver me the medicine. But each time I call them they ask me lot of stupid questions like why I need this medication now, for how long, am I traveling outside if so which country etc. I felt like as if I have been questioned by a police officer. The response I got them was realy rude and even they were denying to give me the medicine. I have been to many shoppers drug Mart in other locations but it is the first time in my life that I am having such a bad experience. To me the pharmacist should try to give the medicine to the customer but the way of talk and approach by all the pharmacist working there especially a man working there doesn't know how to talk or behave to others. Really ridiculous. Therefore I was forced to change the pharmacy and I am sure that I won't have such a bad experience with shoppers at other locations.

Just went in to get passport pictures taken. After sitting for about 10/15 mins and two attempts to take the photo the rep comes back and says ‘the battery is dead’ mutters sorry under her breath. Doesn’t advise if I was to wait, inform me of the the closest branch nothing! Really annoyed!!

Went to this location to pick up a few items and had to wait 15-20 min in line because there was a customer taking forever to buy lotto tickets and only one cashier was working. I felt bad for the cashier who asked her co-worker for help as he was leaving, but he said he was still on break and went outside to hang out in his car, even though he saw the line up was building. Most of us waiting in line left in frustration. By the time the worker came back from his break (approximately 10 min after the cashier asked him for help) he said some of us could go to the pharmacy section to ring us up. Well, that took a while again because there was another customer there already taking forever with the pharmacist and then all of a sudden that guy who said to come to the pharmacy section disappeared again. Not sure if he’s the manager, but does he even care about customer service or moving the line along? I’m pregnant and had to stand and wait unnecessarily long, and when my husband asked why they can’t open another till, the guy worker on break made some excuse about the lotto ticket guy coming in every week and he takes awhile, so my husband said well if you know that then why not open another till in anticipation (or maybe not go on break then and take it after the lotto guy is done? Just a thought). This is one of the worst customer service experiences ever. That place lost several customers as a result, some of them leaving really upset. Solution was pretty simple: That worker on break could have taken the 5-10 min to just help his co-worker with the line up and then proceed to make up for the time worked on his break time afterwards once the line settled. Otherwise, from an optics perspective, very poor customer service. Feel bad for the female cashier left to deal with it. I got the impression the male worker was a supervisor of some sort, and if so, was highly unimpressed with his performance. Did a similar job before and when your colleagues were swamped, even if you were on break, you helped out and just extended your break time after the dust settled.

Horrible customer service at this pharmacy. It's such a small location that it's barely ever busy but good luck getting anyone in the phone to help you. They leave you on hold for over 40 minutes at a time and then some man who is not a pharmacist answers and argues with you when you ask to speak with a pharmacist. Definitely do not recommend this location, save yourself the headache and fill your prescriptions elsewhere.

This drug store is the worst. Dropped off a prescription and they said 20 mins. I stood there waiting. I watch the guy joke around laughing with female coworker. 35 minutes later he goes and pours some liquid from one bottle, and then gives it to me. I was there 45 minutes in total. The selection in this store STINKS. No multipacks of carbonated water. Shelves are barren. Selection is awful. Everything seems dusty like it's been there forever.

Bad service in the pharmacy. The website let me book travel consult online, when I arrived they said they could not do it and refused to help me.

I had just left the Dentist with a painkiller prescription, didn't notice that dentist had only signed the prescription and not added his name. This was brought to my attention and they and I tried to contact the Dentist, they were closed. At this point I had to sit for over 30 minutes in pain. Then the rude pharmacist comes over to explain since there is no name they don't usually provide medication. That's is quite fair but I didn't need to to wait half hour to hear this. Then he proceeds to ask if I really needed the pain killers. Without giving me a chance to fully explain my pain levels he rudely interrupted me at this point I was in so much pain my head started to hurt. But I know if I had reacted out of pocket I'd be labeled as difficult customer. They eventually gave the medication after about 40mins of waiting and hand wringing.I appreciate that I got my medication but I sat there in pain, for a long time for no reason. They confirmed they had the stock within 5 minutes my initial contact with the pharmacist. Waiting over 40 minutes with one other customer and 4 employees in the pharmacy in this is not acceptable. I left this pharmacy highly disappointed with their treatment.Note to owner, I don't need any shallow response or watered down apology. I came for help and was treated like I was not deserving. People come to a pharmacy for help not unnecessary rude confrontation. If you don't want to provide something it is your right but don't forget customers are a big part of your business's success. I felt like i was treated differently and won't be using your services again.Do better!

Absolute garbage experience every single time with the Pharmacists at this location. Never short of attitude and aggression especially from the older pharmacist.One time tried to charge me for prescription that is covered by OHIP. Left to go to another Pharmacy that gave me the correct information and got my prescription at no charge.Never touching that pharmacy ever again. Old guy should just retire and chill out.
