Bullfrog Transmissions

I am embarrassed & ashamed that I recommended them to my friend as they took advantage of her. Her auto transmission would not fully shift into park & would set off park sensor alert/alarm. They replaced a perfectly good sensor at $400 just for the part alone, then several hours of labour added on top which did nothing to solve the issue. She picked her vehicle up and parked it a block down the street and issue remained. Brought vehicle back and within 30 seconds they suddenly 'discovered' a car litter bag handle was in the way, not allowing to fully engage in park. That's all that was wrong all along. Somehow, they did not notice after taking 2 hours to diagnose and another 6 hours a week later to replace a perfectly good OEM sensor... throwing expensive parts and labour at the issue which were clearly not necessary. Talk about unethical, they wasted 2 days & several hours of time, charged for parts & labour not needed. Completely took advantage of a vulnerable senior with cancer. They should be ashamed. It appears if they see an easy opportunity to take advantage of someone, they certainly will & did. Shame on them.

Performed 2 transmission removal and installs for me on my Audi A3. Two unrelated issues with the car. Quality work with no post maintenance issues and completed quickly. Only wish they washed the car after!

Manager wasn't courteous and was unprofessional. Hence the 1 star. Something's changed here, used to be a much better service experience.

Wonderful service at bullfrog.Every place around town suggested I bring my vehicle in for the work to be done.They saw my vehicle this morning and within an hour I was called about my diagnostic - as I needed a whole new transmission I passed with going forward with the repair. Wayne and coworkers were very understanding and helped with organizing my tow back home.Couldn’t have been anymore grateful for their customer service and will certainly be back with any issues in the future !

The service at Bullfrog transmissions is excellent! They take the time to diagnose issues and fix the problem unlike dealers who keep bolting on new parts until they get it right by chance. Bullfrog has helped me on 2 occasions with my 09 Ram 3500 and again on a third occasion where they gave me advice on something I could fix myself. This place is busy for a reason; they're the best!

It's not easy taking a broken down vehicle to an auto shop. But I can't say enough good things about the team at Bullfrog. The team really went the extra mile repairing and restoring a dead transmission and drivetrain. True professionals, the value they offered was well worth the cost. They took the time to talk about the process. They not only restored but improved the transmission. For example beefing up planetary gear welds, their knowledge was impressive. Thank you! - Jeep TJ.

I would be ashamed if I ran a business like this. $5000 in a complete transmission overhaul, and it didn't even last 7 months (only 10,000 km since rebuild). I bought the truck just from the original owner, with the freshly built transmission and all the receipts in hand. Contacted the owner Neil and I got a terrible attitude from him, and then he hung up on me. He said the warranty isn't transferrable to the new owner, and he will not stand behind his shop's work. Looks like the wiring harness wasn't secured inside the transmission and caused the wires to short out, almost lighting on fire.

They were polite, efficient and communicated well. Service was exceptional making the two week wait worth every penny they saved me. As a senior I was very pleased with their prices as well. I will continue to use this gem of an engine repair shop as my 2009 car is purring again.
