The food here is fantastic. The salad was amazing, bigger than I expected and the chicken with my penne was cooked perfect. The atmosphere was ok, a bit dated, but the service was excellent.I would come back again forsure for the food.

Caribou Restaurant + Wine Bar
My spoiled palate was quite pleased with the gastronomic experience at Caribou. The menu is a perfect fusion between some classic dishes and a modern twist. We had the BBQ duck breast with a flight of reds and artic char with a flight of white wines. All in a relaxed atmosphere. The portions are quite reasonable, and as other reviewers pointed it out: SAVE room for desert!!

Good food, nice decor inside, unassuming exterior. Staff at front of house will look at you strangely if you don't let them take your coat. Servers very pleasant and put in the extra effort for all patrons under their care.

Although expensive, definitely worth the experience. The food was amazing, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was immersive. Our waiter had an incredible knowledge of all the wines and what would pair well with what.

Caribou Restaurant + Wine Bar
A must if you're visiting! I was in town for a conference and had never been to Thunder Bay before, my colleague looked up restaurants and picked this one! We weren't sure what to expect, but we were greeted warmly by the hostess who took our coats. I had the Maple Teriyaki Salmon - it was delicious, no fishy taste the flavour wasn't overbearing and I paired it with Deloach Pinot Noir. The server, Donny, really knows the menu - I wasn't sure which wine to get and he sold me on this one! Plus all their desserts were great - they should have the dessert menu on their website ;) but other than that nothing to improve on. It was top notch food and service!

Amazing food, good service, the menus were paper so it's nice to see Eco friendly solutions but ours were nicably used and had a couple stains on them.

Caribou Restaurant + Wine Bar
It was our first time in Thunder Bay and stopped by based on the great reviews. We ordered the pear and fig pizza, lamb and the mafaldine pasta. The pear and fig pizza was delicious - lots of depth to the dish and the sweet and savoury flavours went very well together! Lamb was good - cooked well and we enjoyed the quinoa it was served with. The pasta was a let down - extremely bland and the pasta was not al dente. The service was average. Overall it was a decent experience.

Excellent dining here. Very professional service in a nice atmosphere. Excellent cocktails! We enjoyed all of our meals and there are some really great and different dishes on the menu. 10/10 upscale dining experience in Thunder Bay!

Best restaurant east of the rockies!Been a chef for 35 years and have never tasted and experienced food like Caribou restaurant! Live in Vancouver B.C. and did a road trip to Thunder Bay. So glad I did to taste this amazing food! The service was fantastic! Thanks to James!
