The room was wonderful, beds and pillows were comfy, and ac was cold. However, the front desk staff were awful. We told them we had a family emergency at check in and that we had to leave a day early. They told us to come to the desk during the next day to set it up. The next day they said it wasn't possible and we'd lose our money. We came down today to check out and the front desk said if they had 24hrs notice they could have, when we explained we did come with 24hrs notice the other front desk guy (older short gentleman) started getting heated and was very rude saying they explained everything clearly, calling me sir even after I asked him to stop as I am a woman, and drilling in it was our fault. He claimed to be the owner and if he is I would deter anyone from staying here. We were military and were treated less than other guests because of being military. He even got up and started getting closer to us while raising his voice, and I finally had to say we were done and left because they wouldn't stop yelling at us. He did bury an apology among the blaming, then asked why we wouldn't accept the Apology. Worst service I've ever received while traveling, and I've stayed in much cheaper, and older places.

Room was ok. Some light bulbs were burnt out and the bathroom wasn’t super clean. Housekeeping barely even made the bed during our stay and would rather just toss the blanket across the bed. But the reason for the 1 star is the customer service. Front desk staff are awful. They talk over you when you’re asking questions. Will tell you one thing on the phone and then another thing when you arrive. They’re argumentative, rude and don’t want to a accommodate you at all.

Front desk staff refused to honour our online parking booking, made us pay them directly and obligated us pay to call long distance to cancel our only booking. Furthermore, they helped multiple other customers while in the middle of “helping us” delaying our ability to get to the airport for a flight.

This is the worst hotel experience ever. The hotel staff is rude, not helpful. The rooms are ok. The vibe is negative. The breakfast is below average. The desk staff are the rudest and non respondent. They don't give information and put the onus of the customer. They don't deliver what they promise and definitely it's costly for such a bad service. Don't prefer this hotel

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. The front desk is absolutely horrible. The owner treats guests with disrespect. The front desk ignores you, answers phone calls while you are speaking and makes up their own polices. The manager and owner are never on the same page. They cancelled my stay that I paid in cash and somehow made it vanish from the system. Choice headquarters called several times to ask for confirmation that I was there and instead was constantly told I never even stayed. Front desk also gave me FAKE money and told police it was mine (2 $50 bills). They also could not get my receipts every time I asked and instead make their own up by hand. Front desk also almost physically fought another client who heard me being yelled at and came to defend me. The A/C and fridges don’t work in many of the rooms including the two I stayed in (every time I left the hotel that’s the complaint I was hearing) Lastly, the staff there are Indian but are extremely racist. They told me they cancel stays if they think you are an Indian making fake reservations for immigration. (This was after they cancelled my second week reservation 1 hour before I was checking in because they thought I was fake which made no sense since I was already checked in for a week prior) The only good thing during my stay was the cleaning and restaurant staff who are amazing and healpful to every guest!!Please stay anywhere else (Marriott or best western is 4 - 10 minutes away and have 100x better service and amenities).

I recently had the opportunity to stay at this hotel. Regrettably, I must express my disappointment regarding the experience I had during my stay. As a discerning traveler, I had high expectations, which unfortunately were not met, and it had a negative impact on my overall vacation experience.Firstly, I must mention that the issues I encountered may be attributed to the hotel's ownership and operation by a private Ontario company, licensed by Choice Hotels. It appears that there may have been a breakdown in communication or coordination between these entities, leading to several incidents during my stay. Allow me to outline the specific experiences I encountered:1. During the booking process, I explicitly disclosed that there would be four adults occupying the room, expecting the appropriate accommodation for our party size. However, upon arrival, we were surprised to find that an additional charge of $15 per person, per night, was imposed for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th guests. This additional fee was attributed to a discrepancy in the hotel's system, which indicated an occupancy of only one person. It is worth noting that a similar issue was overheard while I was in the lobby, where another guest faced a similar situation. I find this situation unfair, as I cannot be held responsible for any miscommunication between the booking platform and the hotel. Such inconsistencies can undoubtedly detract from the overall guest experience.2. Throughout our three-night stay, we did not receive any room service. It became necessary for my sister to personally request assistance from the room service staff for tasks such as garbage removal and sheet changes. Additionally, we had to approach the front desk daily to request fresh towels, resulting in delays on each occasion. The absence of proactive housekeeping services and the need for constant follow-up were inconvenient and did not meet the expected standard of service.3. Another issue I encountered was the malfunctioning telephone in our room. Each time we required assistance, we had to personally walk to the front desk, which proved to be a considerable inconvenience. A functioning telephone system is essential for seamless communication and convenience for guests, and its malfunction detracted from the overall comfort of our stay.4. Prior to our arrival, we were assured that an airport shuttle service would be available. We specifically confirmed the availability and noticed requirements with your front desk staff, who informed us that the service operated 24/7 and required a 24-hour notice. However, when we requested the shuttle for our Sunday departure, providing the required notice on Saturday, we were informed that no airport shuttle service was available on Sundays. Moreover, we were informed that the airport shuttles only operated from Tuesday to Saturday, which contradicted the information we had received upon check-in. Strangely, all my interactions regarding this matter were with the same staff member, and each encounter proved to be increasingly unpleasant. In light of these experiences, I regretfully this recommend this hotel to those seeking a pleasant and hassle-free stay. As a privately owned and operated establishment, it appears that the hotel may be operating according to its own standards, rather than adhering to the reputation and quality standards associated with Comfort Inn Corporate locations. I find it unlikely that the established brand would condone the treatment and service experienced during my stay.

Do not stay here Bathroom shower was disgusting.Water from it flooded onto the floor and when we called for help, the front desk asked us what we did wrong. When we said we turned the shower on, they told us there was nothing they could do and that they couldn't move us. Then they blamed my son asked if he did something to the shower head. They brought us towels to clean up but refused to help. We called the desk again when we discovered the issue- a drain so grossly clogged with hair. The phone rang more than 30 times and then I ended up hanging up and going down. They claimed no call had gone through. When I showed them the picture of the hair-clogged drain, they finally sent someone up with a plastic bag to clear the hair away. One unhelpful employee told us he couldn't supply any more towels even though we'd used most of our sopping up the water. When we asked for compensation, we were told there was nothing they could do and to call the manager tomorrow.I’d give it 0 stars if I could

This place is a good bargain, and we didn't have any major complaints. There was a good breakfast provided in the morning, and that saved us a lot of money over the weekend. Beds were super comfortable, and we were about a 15 minute walk to the Toronto congress center. The AC was SUPER loud, and things were a bit musty. We've seen worse for higher prices though, so we would definitely come back. Overall decently clean, and quick check in and check out.

We came in late but had reservations. We were put in a room with a broken air conditioner. The room was 80 degrees when we got in it and with the 'air conditioner going

I typically never leave negative reviews but at last there’s a first for everything. I flew to Toronto for a couple days for a concert and unfortunately didn’t look at reviews before booking. Upon arrival the person at the front desk was extremely unhelpful and seemed to hate her job or people or both. I told her we were there to check in she told us to have a seat (no information as to why we we’re sitting just sit), 45 minutes later she calls us back up to the front to finish checking in. That night I come back to the hotel and ask a different person at the counter if I need to register my car’s license plate and he looked annoyed that I bugged him and said no. But the worst part? The temperature of our room. The temperature while I was there was between 25-30 and the room wasn’t much cooler. Didn’t matter what we did to the thermostat we could not cool our room down. I asked the front desk and was told our room was fine. It was so brutal my boyfriend and I decided to not spend the last night in our room but go to the airport as at least it would be cool (we had a 7:30am flight). It was an unfortunate situation all around and I definitely won’t be back.
