Dugas Law was recommended to me by a friend to help me solve a small legal issue. I had tried to solve this issue on my own but realized that I needed professional legal advice. Had a contract for small claims court, gave a retainer and then I completely shut down. I didn't give 8nstruction, I was told all I had to do is show up to a small clam settlement conference and we would tell the judge we need to go to supreme Court. Being naive I didn't understand the whole process I just expected the ethically things would be done correctly I didn't realize how much more going to Supreme Court cost. I didn't get a detail breakdown as to what my $3,000 was spent on but I do know I ended up defending myself in small claims and I was educated on the difference between small claims and supreme but I went through a horrible experience in a time where I felt that I couldn't fight the whole world and I had to leave this on the table I'm ready to redress it and I'm going to give this person one last chance to do the right thing.
