Amazing Japanese style pasta. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great views of the river. Very reasonable prices and hearty servings. What's not to love. Will definitely be back and I'll be bringing the rest of the family

This hidden gem is a great place for Japanese style pastas and antipasto. They have a daily fresh sheet on a chalk board that they set up by your table when ordering and a drink menu that offers both spirits and alcohol free options.Their prices are a bit on the pricier side for what you get but the flavours are there and the service is great so I’m not mad at that.Their pastas come with a complimentary house salad and olives which is a nice touch. The scallop carpaccio was on their fresh sheet and tasted amazing! Very fresh and the seasonings highlighted the taste of the scallop really well. The tuna tartar on the crispy rice needed a dipping sauce to go with it. The mayo on the tuna wasn’t good enough of a contrast for the somewhat oily crispy rice that it was on top of.

Heard good things about thing place. It is in an industrial area along the old River Road, at the very end, just north of the Gilbert bridge. It is on 2nd floor and can fit about 34 people as they have a few 4 person tables along the walls, 3 two person table in between the bigger tables and a couple of high tables along the window. We recommend making reservations as it got busy and some people had to wait. The staff are friendly, and efficient. They actually hold up the small sandwich board with the specials for you to see and explain it. Once you order, they take it away for the next table. We got the wagyu beef carpaccio, fettuccine scallop uni cream sauce dish, Sakura shrimp squid ink spaghetti, crab cream croquette and the matcha kinako tiramisu. The carpaccio was good with the capers, spices and oil. I thought it was truffle oil, but my wife think it was something else. The fettuccine was creamy, pasta was al dente, and just the right amount of sauce. This is one of their best seller and I can see why. It was perfectly done with the right amount of flavor.Sakura shrimp squid ink spaghetti had a light earthy taste along with the salty shrimp. There is an egg on top that you break and mix the dish. It was okay.Crab cream croquette was good as the sauce was flavorful, and it went well with the crispy outside, creamy inside. This is also one of their popular dishes. The tiramisu was light and really good. The top is dusted with matcha on one half and dusted on the other half with a light brown powder. I'm not sure what it was as it was very light in flavor that the matcha inside is more noticeable. We would get the croquette, fettuccine scallop uni cream and tiramisu again.

Love the set up. The place is a bit hidden from the road. It’s located on the second floor. They have special pastas every two months which is a nice feature. We tried the Fettuccine uni cream sauce and Sakura spaghetti. Both are great. Looking forward to coming back and try more dishes. A bit pricy given the amount of food. But overall great experience.

Arrived in Vancouver after a long day of travel when a friend made us walk around the corner to this gem! Busy on a Sunday evening - so make a reservation (and last call at 8'o clock.Very tasteful marriage of Italian pasta and Japanese fine foods. We tried recommended options and our own choices; all of which were superb! It's fascinating to eat pasta with chopsticks though! Staff were helpful to begin with but really blossomed once they hear our basic Chinese. Good for small groups of friends.

Food and service is excellent. I ordered Carpaccio di Scallops (today’s special), Scallops and uni cream sauce fettuccine and matcha and kinako tiramisu.Overall speaking, I pretty love the flavor of all dishes, it reach the balance between ingredients and you won’t feel bored when enjoy it.However when it comes to texture, here’s some possible improvements: for the scallops in fettuccine, maybe you can try to either make crust or keep the texture of inside like the one in Carpaccio. It’s a little bit in the middle at this moment, which I think lack of spotlight as a main ingredient. And for tiramisu, matcha powder and kinako powder make it overall too dry. I try the mascarpone layer separately and I pretty love the fact that you didn’t make it too sweet, but I think it can be smoother so the powder won’t stuck in your mouth.Overall speaking, I think I might just be nitpicking, this is definitely a restaurant I’ll visit again and share with my friends!
