I recently visited PUBLIC SCHOOL Coffeehouse and was blown away by the experience. The food was excellent - I particularly recommend the smashed avocado toast - and the coffee was very good (not of the best I've had, but really really good). The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which only added to the already great vibe of the place. Despite being full, the coffeehouse never felt overly crowded, thanks in part to the high ceiling that gave it a spacious feeling. Overall, I highly recommend PUBLIC SCHOOL Coffeehouse for anyone looking for a great coffee and food spot with a great atmosphere.

PUBLIC SCHOOL Coffeehouse + Kitchen + Bar
Dined here for brunch and lunch a few times during my stay at the W hotel. The food looks amazing, tasted very good overall and the place had good vibes. Didn’t always feel like the staff was the most attentive and service was slower than expected. For lunch, get the Caesar salad and the tomato soup! You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

It was my first time visiting this place. The regular coffee was okay, latte on the other hand was good. Cinnamon bun was tasty!The reason I give 3 stars is because the egg and cheese brioche was not good at all.It had a weird taste to it. The server warmed up the brioche however the taste was not good according to me!

Very quiet dining area but service was extremely lacking. Most of the dishes were a miss, needed more flavour. The hit was the risotto, fries (super crispy), and mimosa. Definitely wouldn't come back for kitchen. Haven't tried the coffeehouse

I liked the cafe's decor, it was cozy and had beautiful natural light and easy to locate. However, I was disappointed with the service provided by the staff. Their apathetic attitude left me unimpressed, and I was not guided to my table nor informed whether it was reserved or ready for seating. Furthermore, the tables were not clean and were not properly prepared for new guests. The taste of coffee was average and nothing particularly stood out about it.

Came here for a Sunday Brunch.New staff provided abysmal service. You'd think when a renowned hotel would take in staff, training would've been provided before placing said staff on floor, however, this was not the case. The new staff did not serve us our food or drinks, but would follow up on our table when another staff took over in doing so. Ample opportunity for management to take note on providing proper hospitality training for this space.Food was mediocre at best. We had the basic breakfast with soft scrambled eggs and chicken apple sausage. Very dry sausage with not much flavour aside from chicken. Soft scrambled eggs had good texture but no seasoning.Cups for coffee looks nice but would be too hot to touch with fresh coffee poured.Ambience is pretty for the eyes, but deafening for the ears when there's many people. It's almost like they're confused if they want to be a bar or a brunch place.The only redeeming thing about this place is the cafe up front where my experience was positive with a very friendly staff and good service.

Stopped by for a tea break, new coffee bar inside the W Hotel. The upper section was a restaurant which I might check out one day. The coffee bar place has got a cute retro vibe and nice selection of teas, specialty coffees and snacks. Nice big windows with views of Bloor Street.

This place is a stunning place to eat and have coffee however I was really disappointed in their service. I stood quite a while without being acknowledged or greeted by the busy staff and so I sat myself down by the window and worked until I was able to get a drink when the rush died down half an hour later. Quality of the coffee was not as great as I expected but hoping to return to see if it’s any better when they’re not busy.

Eggs Bennedict were totally fine. The fried chicken sandwich was taken to go and it was raw and inedible - sent a follow up message to the restaurant once I noticed to let them know and they did not respond. I was just looking for an apology.The vibe is good but the food is very disappointing.
