Quote Increased from $500 to $750: I needed a Property Line Stakeout (PLS) done on my residential property. I called Lovese Surveys Ltd, mainly because they did the Real Property Report (RPR) on the property in the past. Jen, a manager and a very knowledgeable person in RPR and PLS, went over my RPR, and gave me a quote for $500. I wanted it to be lower and gave her reasons: some real, some funny. why. She said she would talk to her manager (the owner). We had a very pleasant conversation. Jen then went on vacation. I called Lovesy and Isabella told me that the new quote was $750, which was set by the owner. I thought that was a mistake and that $750 could be for RPR plus PLS, based on the quotes from other companies in the same buisness. I left a message for Jen to call me. Two days after Jen returned from vacation, she called to let me know that the owner, in lieu of lowering the quote had increased it by $250 to make it $750. That for the PLS alone. When I asked why it was increased by that much? Jen said that was what the manager thought it should be. I said but you reviewed the RPR with me on the phone, and then quoted $500 and if I had accepted you would doing the work. She said that would have been changed by the owner. I insisted why $750, when I got quotes of $375 to $450 for the same address from your competitors, for the same property? She did not have a good answer. Made me wonder aloud on the phone: Is it because of my name?" "Am I being discriminated for my name by the owner?" Jen said

Took too long to get RPR and had to followup several times to get finalized RPR that the City had sent them earlier. Essentially not enough followup. Survey itself is good.

Got an RPR survey, they were quick and very helpful.
