We signed with A&S as first-time homebuyers in July 2020 with a promised possession date of June 30, 2021, construction was supposed to start in September 2020.After following up several times without any progress we finally managed to get a response through our realtor stating that construction was delayed due to Covid and the new start date was December 2020 which again was delayed due to permit approval. Again, after months passing without any progress, we received a welcoming letter on March 11th, 2021, 9 months after we signed.On April 5th we got contacted by the windows and doors supplier confirming that they had just received our blueprints and they wanted to place the order as soon as possible to avoid delays, kudos to those contractors! It was the most detailed explanation that we’ve gotten related to the building process of our house.Due to the lack of commitment from A&S we had to renew our apartment lease for another year as the possession date was moved to September 1st, after several emails and calling our realtor, the last week of August and during the month of September we were contacted on several occasions about the upgrades we selected during our design center meeting back in April rushing us to review and approve stating that they wanted to avoid delays.On December 6th we got a communication from our lawyer that the possession date was moved again to April 24th, 2022 which is the sixth time the possession date has been pushed and nearing a 2 years wait for the home to be built and delivered.I have tried to call A&S several times to get in touch with the project manager to follow up about the delays in the house without success. I have left several messages and no callback. We feel disrespected, neglected and that we don’t matter as customers, it has been the worst experience in our life.We’ve been tracking the progress of the other A&S homes on the same street and all the houses that started after ours are currently in a more advanced stage.I’m sorry to say this but, if I would have known I would have never signed a deal with A&S. Do not buy from this builder as their customer service is non-existent.They killed my family’s Christmas dream and the illusion to receive relatives over to spend the holidays together in a new home, they ruined our first-time home buyer experience, our love towards our new home, and I feel very dissapointed about all this.

Have a deposit on hold for the landscape for 3 years and still cannot get it back. Emailed them a number of times and no reply. Called the office a few times but no one picked up the phone. No one called back after leaving voice mails. Completely irresponsible attitude and simply do not care customers. I am 100% confident that only ghosts are working there except the reception who can only direct calls to voice mails.

I need a negative scale for this! I write this review to let everyone know that if possible, stay away from these builders. My family built with them. From day1, it has been one issue after another! The most recent issue that compelled me to leave this comment is water trooping into our basement anytime it rains. I’ve sent pictures and videos and yet, this issue has persisted for over a month. I often get ignored and I noticed that their customer service manager blocked my calls and messages! As I leave this review, my basement is soaked in water. After paying so so much to obtain a building we hope to call home and feel comfortable in, A&S homes ruined that experience for us. Our backyard has also not been graded! We are at risk of flooding! We had a leakage in one of our bathrooms and it took over a week before a plumber was sent to fix it. We have over a dozen pending issues!The list goes on and on. It has been so traumatic. My family couldn’t even go on a proper vacation as we fear the risk of flooding. All they care about is your money. Do better! I would also like to state that we’re people of colour and we’ve been treated like concerns about our home doesn’t matter!

Bought a brand new house w/ them 3 years later, the AC is broken, they only gave a warranty for 30 days. It costs $4000 to fix the whole thing.

I would highly recommend building a home with these guys! From start to finish the service was top notch. Adam, the sales agent, helped me select the right home and caught all sorts of things that I wouldn't have even thought of to make sure I made all the right choices pertaining to my specific needs. For example, I specified that I would like to make a basement rental suite, so he ensured that I picked a home with a basement entrance separate from the main entrance so that I would be separate from my tenants. I built in the heat of Covid-19 so there was of course some delays, but when they gave me that final possession date they really pushed to make it happen and when I got possession I didn't feel that it was rushed as everything was finished with high quality. An example of them making the possession day happen is when my shower door got delayed due to covid, instead of pushing the date back they put a door on for me to use for the time being so I could still enjoy my house while waiting for the right door. When it came time for a final walkthrough, Alanna was great. As we went through the house I was quite thorough looking for deficiencies as the quality was quite high but being an inspector myself I was able to notice certain small things. I was given absolutely no push back on any little things I asked to be fixed and they even fixed a few dings and dents that I caused during my move with no hassle. Building my home with A&S was a pleasure and I have already recommended them to my friends and will continue to do so. I look forward to building my next house with them.

Simply poor workmanship on many parts of our house. We took possession at the end of summer 2020, had some things fixed at the end of the first year, and we spotted many more issues after that. Not to mention that one issue that we communicated in 2021 at the end of our first year is still to be resolved after several attempts of more poor workmanship to fix the issue and still not fully resolved and delayed several times because they are busy. Recently, we had leaks on top of the windows inside with rusty water - can't find where the leaks are from even outside, and major cracks on the ceiling and side walls. Our communication with A&S when purchasing the house and during our first year were perfect. But these issues due to poor workmanship and no attention to details are disappointing. And their communication for the one issue that still has not been resolved became WAY SLOWER AND VERY UNRESPONSIVE after the one year mark, although they promised to get this fixed soon.

Loved woking with this Company , strong foundation for a great home

Poor quality workmanship. Missing stucco from roof area causing lots of water to come inside garage when it rains, garage door frame was not levelled so cold air comes into house when door is closed. These problems presented itself after a years time so right now it's a pain trying to get them to fix anything. House bought 2020.

Our experience with trusting A & S to construct our home has been horrendous!!! I am surprised they have any five star google review at all. It feels like they are either extremely unfair to some home buyers and great to some or the very good reviews are fake.The experience of constructing our home with A & S is the worst experience any home buyer can go through! It destabilizes you and ruins important plans in your life that is connected to moving to a Home.And since the construction contract allows them to change the date, they exploit that provision on the agreement. They have changed our possession date Five (5) times with the excuse of Covid shortage of materials and Labour" since we signed up for the construction in November 2020. The most recent date they gave us for possession is June 30
