I purchased a Mercedes C63 from The Car Place. Having purchased a number of cars over the years, I can say that the buying experience with Joel and The Car Place was outstanding. Joel knew his cars well, took the time to explain to me what he looks for in the cars he sells, and was transparent and straightforward, and I got a great deal on a great car. I would certainly recommend The Car Place to my friends and colleagues.

Excellent experience at The Car Place! Dealt with Joel M. and he made the whole experience a pleasure. We always felt all info was made upfront, we never felt rushed or pressured, and when it came time to negotiate, the price given was very super fair on our 2009 Porsche Cayenne. These guys are honest and I will be sending friends and family their way.

This private dealership has some nice cars. But they'll lie to sell you a car. Joel changed his mind on the price 3 times, gave me a bogus warranty, sold me a car and promised that he'll always do whatever it takes to take care of me to the fullest satisfaction". Right when the vehicle rolled off the lot an abundance of issues came up. All Joel and his partner Phil are willing to do is dodge and duck thereafter with a gazillion excuses. Sometimes your own due diligence is never enough in the buying process and a good dealership should stand by their product / service. This one doesn't. What a shame."

Joel is the worst sales person I've ever dealt with. I bought a car from him and the car had some issues that needed fixing. He agreed to get the parts ordered and installed. It's been over one hand a half years and all I had been hearing until about a year ago was excuses that he couldn't locate the part. After that he simply ignored my last two messages and calls. My time is too precious to go and see him in person and make a scene in front of their clients but I'll make sure that this message is out and any future buyers are aware ... and ensure that they go to an authorized dealer and buy a car with peace of mind and without the hassle of being lied to. I also have to mention that I paid nearly $4,000 more for the exact same car with the exact specs just because I liked this charmer and gave him my word that I'd buy the car from him. To the extent that I justified buying from this guy as getting a better car and better service and complete information. Granted that all car sales people lie, at least the dealer will be more credible and will have everything in writing in case you need to make a claim.Do yourself a favor and don't buy any cars from these liars. My immediate family members have purchased four cars since then and I told Joel that I would refer them to him but I'm very glad that I didn't. For a few hundred dollars and perhaps an hour of his time, he lost thousands of dollars in business and a lot of opportunities to earn more on the future. What a small thinker!

They did have great service, however, just to get the car out of their shop. Once the purchase was made there were a number of small issues which should've been resolved quickly, however, they decide to drag you along for weeks, if not months. They claim their time is valuable but completely forget about the consumer. I purchased a vehicle from them, and on the day of the purchase noticed a broken head light. This was shocking especially after listening to them talk about their full mechanical inspection". It made me wonder if they can miss something so obvious

Great experience dealing with the Car Place. Joel was very accommodating and went out of his way to make me a deal on my 911. As it turned out, there ended up being a minor problem with my car's charging system that I noticed after owning it for a few days. Joel was very concerned, felt that the car should have never been sold in that condition and made things right even though there was technically no warranty on the car. These guys are here to stay.

I felt really comfortable with everything as the sales guy made sure that I was involved at every step. I popped in the other day with a few minor issues; the owner took a look and was even able to address a couple. Knowledgeable, friendly service.

I had such a great experience visiting The Car Place and meeting Joel. I was shopping around for a second car and wanted to buy a BMW or an Audi but I had never owned one of those brands and had some hesitation. He guided me through so many precious advice. Joel became my go-to reference for cars. Go see him, he really does his due diligence when it comes to checking the cars he sells.

I just wanted to write a comment on how great the buying experience was with Joel at ‘The Car Place’. I was looking to purchase a BMW X3 and stumbled across one advertised on The Car Place web site. I am from Victoria BC but knew I was flying over for some meetings in Vancouver so I thought I would give them (Joel) a call to see if we could set something up. I explained I had meetings all day so it would be hard to get over to see them, so Joel offered up to bring the car downtown to me. A very nice gesture especially given that Joel was on crutches having done something to his knee. After a quick drive around, I really liked the car and put in an offer. Joel had noted that the car was overheating and he would get back to me re the offer and the repair. We arrived at a number and I was to pick up the car the next day. That night he called me at the hotel saying that the part for the vehicle would not arrive in time for me to drive the vehicle home, but that he would get the vehicle fixed and then have it delivered to me on the island. What more can be said except that Joel is an example of someone willing to give excellent service to his customers. As far as the vehicle, I am loving it, especially the heated seats now that it is December. As for Joel and ‘The Car Place’, I cannot recommend them enough and will be back for sure as I have two boys standing in line to drive my current X3. Cheers - Steve (Victoria BC)
