I’m only giving two stars because the server was nice and apologetic. I got my coffee for free because I waited 40 minutes for eggs over easy. I didn’t eat the “home fries” because they’re undercooked and I could taste something else in the oil they were fried in. Fish? I don’t know. But I was not impressed. It’s the only breakfast joint in my neighbourhood but I’m sorry to say I won’t be back.I’m not sure what their lunches/etc are like but I do know the place is painfully short on staff and I suspect they don’t have the caliber of chef they would like.

Food is great, the service is on point. They serve Caribbean food as well which is such a nice mixed. we have tried almost everything and i am amazed by tasty the food is. It's a must try if you want to hang out with friends. There's also couple of drinks as well, if you like ginger drinks they have a nice ginger drink that is simply delicious.

I've done over 460 Google local reviews and posted well over 1500 photos, I rarely give a 1. I should have known not to go since I never see anyone eat there. I just got the chicken wings because everything on the menu was overpriced in my opinion. Give them a chance knowing their average rating is a 3.3 out of 5.

Really fantastic food: plantain in particular was perfectly cooked, and my guest was very pleased with the tofu brochette in particular. (I like the lamb, myself!)Only problem: service was polite, but very slow. Fully, are they making the tofu to order?" slow."

The service was great! Natasha, our waitress was awesome! She was of great help with precise information about our whereabouts around Ottawa.The food was very tasty and fast.Thanks we will be back.

With a full hotel they have 1 server and 1 cook?? Thevexcuse given for how slow everything was...we didnt knowni was going to be so busy!" The server is sullen and has a poor attitude. She barely picked up her feet to walk. We had to get up and find our own menus

Very disappointed, I will not order there again.The plantains were too greasy, they forgot to add the donuts to my order, the ablo was disgusting and the fish no better. Why is it so hard to find a decent African restaurant in Ottawa? It's my 2nd bad experience, the first being at La Teranga. People, get your act together for God' sake!

Stopped by for breakfast and waited an hour with only a coffee (quite bitter) while waiting. Kitchen was slammed because there was only 1 cook on Sunday morning. Left because of the wait and was charged $2 for the coffee. I wasn't even close to being served (another table of 3 had ordered first). It does not take an hour to fry an egg and ham.Restaurant was half full when I arrived, and while I waited the rest of the restaurant filled up. I feel sorry for everyone else who waited...!

There are only a few people who can make anything they prepare and cook taste so wonderful it's memorable and here is one of those gems. The brochette, the plaintains, the attieké, thedeggeh, the chicken wings, heck even the onions served with the chicken wings, anything on offer. I always thoroughly enjoy it and look forward to the next time! I swear it's all made with love!
