I had an excellent experience today with Beverly Stewart. I needed to get late taxes done immediately as a requirement for a time sensitive business deal and she managed to get it resolved and saved the deal. I also had quite a good time hanging out, who knew taxes could be so enjoyable? Feels great to be all caught up. Thanks Beverly and thanks H&R Block.

Walked in to get my taxes done and being new to the procedure, I asked the receptionist how much the service would cost me up front. She then said she couldn't give me a price, so I would have to check with the lady servicing me. I gave the lady my T4's and she began working away and then after about 15 minutes of awkward silence told me my bill was $130, and I was not eligible for a refund as I owed $640. I'm not sure what I was paying for or what the rate was or where that price came from. Proper business etiquette would dictate that I be told how much a service would cost before performing that service. I then went on TurboTax after talking with a friend and realized I could have done the whole thing by myself for free. I feel scammed by H&R Block and will be telling everyone I know to stay away!

I have had only great experiences with H&R Block. Beverley is awesome, she is so knowledgeable and has helped me so much over the years. I needed answers on moving country and she was able to talk about Tax implications, she also told me I can get my Canadian taxes done from anywhere in the world, just by getting in touch with any H&R Block in Canada.

DO NOT GO HERE!!Provided all my tax information to H&R back in MARCH...After 6 in person meetings and countless hours waiting to sit with the accountant, they took from then until JULY 2nd to submit to CRA. I have now been reassesed by the CRA and instead of getting back a really nice amount of $, I now owe CRA which is fine but after H&R prepared my taxes and advised me that I would be getting back a sizable return, by their most senior accountant. I thought everything after that would be fine, but no - Its now September going into October and I've been in what I'm going to call tax purgatory" and the nightmare still hasn't ended.DO NOT GO TO H&R... you are better off using tax studio and doing it yourself than to use this company.Furthermore - Why is the CRA not identifying that HR Block is a HUGE problem. Based on the reviews on here looks like I am not the only one and I really should have looked tat the reviews before chosing to do business here.Very unprofessional service and I simply will not be paying them for their disservice to me."

Very disappointed with the customer service and the efficiency of getting my taxes done. When I first dropped off my taxes back in March, no one reviewed them with me and due to this a T4 was missed and my taxes were done incorrectly. They offered to fix the problem free of charge. When I called a month later to follow up, they said they were working on my tax refile and they would get back to me. Two weeks later I followed up again and nothing had been fixed. When they FINALLY corrected my taxes they tried to charge me a second time. I spoke to the manager who was very rude and argued with me about the situation before she decided not to charge me again. I will never do my taxes with H&R again.

I got my taxes done here in 2020. A few months later, they called me and told me that they looked into my past filings and found that I could recieve about $150 more (somehow) from my file in 2014, to which they just asked my consent to change that file (for FREE). I later received the payment from the CRA, so it was legit. Impressed that they look over your past files in the slow season to make sure you get the most you can! Thanks guys xoxo
