This ice cream shop is a true taste of summer. It's not too expensive compared to other places: one scoop in a cup was $6.65.

The horrible customer service at this place takes away completely from the amazing ambiance and decor. It has the potential to be something great but the staff selling ice cream killed it. How can a person serving ice cream can be Rude and unwelcoming! Asked her if I can have a spoon with my waffle cone she said no, only if i order cup I can have a spoon. Seriously? You cant give a few cents worth of plastic spoon if $14 order! Pathetic. There are millions of places to get ice creams, so please just avoid this place.

Great place to get your fix of Kawartha ice cream! Lots of outside or inside comfy chairs to relax and enjoy your treats. Great for group outings.

The prices are crazy!!!We got 5 ice creams kiddy scoop on a cone with a cup on the side as we have kids that are under 3! And can spill … and it was short of $50.They don’t have the prices posted, so you never know how much we were going to payWhen I asked the lady what the price was she told me that it’s an extra$2 if you want a normal sugar cone if we don’t take it in a cup with such horrible attitude.I don’t understand why she would charge me extra for a cone, that’s part of giving out ice cream the cone part!!Outrageous!Then a few hours after eating we got food poisoning.The ice cream must of been from last years batch and we all got badly sick.Would Never recommend!!

Great little place to have icecream with family the owner was real nice he saw we were trying to take a family picture came out and took it for us. I hope you get Re =(retirement) . Will definitely be back.

I walk by this place to almost daily but never stopped by. But today the weather was nice and sunny and i just wanted an ice cream so i stopped and was greeted by a lovely lady at the counter. They had a surprise milkshake on the menu. So I ordered that and it was very yummy. They do have a lot of options, which i will try next time but the best part is the colorful chairs out on the deck that you can sit at and enjoy the ice cream!!Went again today and ordered a scoop of Praline s and cream and one of cherry bourdeoux

This is my second time coming to the Mill Creek Gardens. My family and I started doing this thing where we make a visit after going to the Island Lakes. We come here for the Kawartha Dairy ice cream, and yes while you can get this ice cream at many grocery stores now, it's nice that there are a variety of flavours that are available to choose from. Staff are incredibly kindnans friendly which just makes for an overall good experience. A small gripe that I had is that only cash is accepted. It would have been nice to see more contactless payment options given what's going on right now. What I did like though is that there is plenty of patio seating available which nice colourful chairs. There is also a hand washing station which is a thoughtful addition. It's nice supporting local businesses especially during these challenging times. Great customer service, a plethora of ice cream flavours and ample seating arrangements all make for great reasons on why you should visit Mill Creek Gardens

We live up to go here on a Sunday or Saturday evening to just sit down and relish the ice cream flavours. Friendly staff and good tasting ice cream. Mostly sit indoors but outdoors would also be good to just chill with friends.

Great outdoor seating, lots. Would be nice if they had an indoor options, which was closed. They serve Kawartha's which is great, but also why only 4-stars. While good (one of my faves), it's still the same Kawarthas as other places that serve Kawarthas. If they did something of their own, a trademark dish or creation of their own, like doing ice cream sandwiches or other variations with the Kawarthas, then definitely a 5. Otherwise, excellent reliable ice cream you know what you're getting. Good size portion.
