These doughnuts are AWESOME! Here’s a photo of the dozen we bought this afternoon. They also have a number of gluten-free varieties each week. For whimsy, try the “hamburger” doughnut! The staff are friendly and efficient. The doughnuts are a little more expensive than the chain offerings, but so much more flavourful and healthy. A gem in Almonte, ON!

Giving this 5 stars for the coconut cake doughnut alone. Very very good. I’m sure all the other cake doughnuts are good also, but it’s so hard to find good cake doughnuts! I also tried the key lime which is a yeast doughnut with coconut sprinkled on it and a lime filling. I liked it except sound the lime filling wasn’t zippy enough —it tasted a bit like lime flavoured candy, which isn’t my thing.

Just behind the Independent supermarket in Almonte in a smallish, unassuming building reside some of the best donuts you'll ever have. On top of that they're also relatively healthy - I don't know the science behind it but I do know they taste good so if they're less bad for you consider it a bonus.Most people grab a few for family or work places though there's a few tables to dine in if you want and a bench outside too. The coffee and donut deal at 2.95 is great value and service is top notch. They also open early 7/8am depending on the day which is a plus for early birds. Overall highly recommended.

Best donuts ever! Apparently less fat than regular donuts, but they definitely don't taste like diet donuts" they taste amazing! The S'mores donut is my favourite. I love the marshmallow whipped cream filling. I drive all the way from Ottawa for these donuts. Fortunately

These are definitely more of your basic, coffee-shop style donuts. No fancy or crazy flavours, although cinnamon toast and the caramel skor were a nice surprise. They were fresh and soft and honestly earned an extra star for the fact that they are “healthier” donuts! I’ve eaten many a donut in my day and I really think if you gave someone one of these and didn’t say anything, they would have no idea it wasn’t a full-calorie donut.

Liked this place. Yummy Donuts. We ended up getting dozen for $20. I liked the Eclair and Black forest. They are in a special section. Will definitely recommend if you in Almonte

Such a gem of a place! So much variety that also includes seasonal donuts. HFT is different from your other donut shops in that the donuts are flash fried and then baked so if you care about calories, this will make you feel better!This is one of my go to places when we’re invited somewhere and want to bring something small- it’s always a hit!

We love this small outlet with wholewheat donuts and a variety of flavors. You can have the stuffed donuts (lemon, strawberry, raspberries, even cherries!) with usual powdered sugar coating or on whole wheat! They do iced (maple, chocolate, sprinkles) donuts. One of their best donuts is the dutchies with raisins and a butter tart filling! Went on a day a client had started the Pay-it-forward for half-dozen and we kept it going, it was such a nice thing to note from their caring clients.
