Sheridan College - Davis Library

Excellent college with tons of very experienced and knowlegeable instructors who care and go the extra mile for thier students. I should know as i am one of those instructors.

If I could rate it negative starts, I would. The library is so loud that you can't get any work done, the middle floor is so loud you can hear it outside the library and the cafeteria is quiter. Other students are incredibly disrespectful in the silent study area and talk on the phone and yell across the room and the school cares so little that they don't monitor it at all. You need to leave the school to find any quiet space to study in. It's actually embarassing to go to this school.

This is a worst place if you are looking for a quiet place to study. Too noisy. If you are a visitor then a Tim Hortons is a better place to study. Tim is noisy but Sheridan is a zoo party. Wifi at Tim is free for you but WiFi is not free for you at Sheridan.

Don’t get me wrong some colleges have pros and cons but at Sheridan there’s only cons barley any good things about this school. Start off with the library, worst place to study or focus and I understand peers can chat here and there but no it’s always a hassle to find a seat and a computer that works because everyone takes the seats assigned to a computer to sit with a BIG group of friends, majority of the people causing the noise is Indian students (not discriminating, it’s facts). The library does have a bad/unbearable smell & same with the cafeteria. Some of the professors here or instructors really do care about the students and teach the curriculum material properly and offer support while others, don’t care enough to teach or just read off PowerPoints like really? What’s the point of paying for school to read something teachers copy and paste onto a PowerPoint & barley give examples of the information. Majority of students are Indian or international students & I don’t why but most of them will block the hallways, trying to get to one wing to another is a workout because you always have to dodge the students who block the hallways (feels like the Berlin Wall). Personally if your from Toronto, don’t come here not worth it. Another note, Finanical Aid doesnt offer any support, when it comes to school and government bursaries, they only favour those on OSAP, George Brown is better when it comes to finanical support even if ur not on OSAP. Security here think their cops, had a security guard who asked me to turn down my volume while chilling in the lobby like really, nobody was bothered? But they can’t enforce those rules in the library. Parking is never available & mad expensive! Overall, Sheridan ain’t good & don’t be fooled by these 5 stars. Side note, the only thing really available here at the Davis campus is Tim Hortons as if there isn’t enough of them around the area and cafeteria food is terrible, same thing all year round, small portions too at a high price, ridiculous. Sheridan needs to fix up.

They need someone to regulate the quiet and silent zones. Many students do not care and it is always noisy. Definitely the loudest library you could ever go to

Noisy, I thought it would be peaceful, but people were chatting, yelling, talking to someone one on phone, gossiping just like cafeteria. Librarian didn’t even move from her chair to tell them to keep silence.

Extremely noisy, used more as a food court.People don't turn off their cellphones, they talk loud and don't care about others.There is no one to ask them to leave the room.Bad place to study.

I been there for covid vaccine it takes me 2 hrs health card individuals dosen't take time but there is walk in aswell so be prepare to spend more than an hour

Loudest library in the world. It is a waste of your time to try and study here as it is used as more of a lounge than a study zone. There is always garbage everywhere as it is also used as a cafeteria/coffee spot. There is always music playing, large circles of people socializing in groups and it is EXTREMELY noisy.
