The older woman at this store is incredibly rude and insensitive. She watched my two year old pick up and examine 2 packaged candies and said we had to buy both because she doesnt know where those hands have been". I understand the concern around covid

The owner is very welcoming, I grew up in the Dover area. Have been going there since I was a young man! Everyone has bad days.

Owner degrades you and makes you feel embarrassed. She tells kids to never come back, she tell kids to go away, etc etc. I think she hates kids...I will not be buying anything from here anymore, so i reccomend getting stuff in chatham or wallaceburg. Do not support this evil lady..

Purchased 4 ice creams with my wife and kids . she completely ignored my 4 year old who was saying he wanted a superhero icecream on a cone. Then as i went to pay my wallet button gave my hand a bit of a shake and my stale cone broke in half to witch she repied aghu

Ridiculous. They have a coffee/snack/ice cream sitting area which obviously by code should" have a public washroom. When my wife and I used the nearby Lake Shore trail & everything else was closed

Avoid this place! Owner is rude and snotty! I feel bad for her staff they looked terrified working with her. First visit to Mitchell’s Bay and we popped in for ice cream. We sat at the counter and placed cash on the counter to pay. She scolded my husband for starting to eat his ice cream before the clerk rang it through. She then told us we could not stay inside due to ‘ her rules’, and how she can’t get sick so she kicked us out. We sat outside, then noticed not one single garbage can to be found. I had to go back inside and found a tiny little can. There was a big sign however, ‘no public washroom’ which I believe if you are serving food you have to have a washroomavailable. This tells you what kind of owners they are, ‘spend you money here and leave! ‘Anybody that says she is nice must be related to her. Won’t ever step foot in there again.

The older lady at this store (I believe an owner) was extremely rude and arrogant. My father simply asked where they got one of there sodas from (as he hadn’t seen them in over 20 years) and she told him it was none of his business with lots of attitude. My father than just simply told her why he was genuinely asking and she kept interrupting him and saying “why are you asking if you’re not even buying the soda”. I am just appalled with how an owner can be so rude to a customer that was just asking a genuine question. I understand if someone doesn’t want to “share” where they get a wholesale product from as it may be a “secret” however, to handle it with such negativity and attitude is quite disgusting. I live very close to Mitchell’s Bay and have family that live here as well, and this will be the LAST time we ever come to this store again.

Make you buy something just to use the bathrooms. Even when the public beach bathrooms are closed and your 8 year old daughter needs to go. They make you buy something first, and if you don't have any money on you, you are told to leave and to watch your tone. That it's the fault of the county you can't go pee.
