The ground staff who deal directly without family members are the highlight and role models for all similar facilities. Thank you for all you do to make our parents feel at home and safe. I do have an issue with management fatigue in this time of Covid 19. Social workers do get tired, and when they do they must take a health break for their own sake. Top management should dress professionally and not look like they did not change from going to the Liquid Lounge the night before. Dress the part please and show some professional attitude. Once again, the strength of this facility lies in the consistently thoughtful attention and compassion that lies at the heart of the ground staff.

Beware! Upper management and office staff do not care about their employees and because of this they are understaffed and stressed to the max which will affect the care of your loved ones. I was terminated in my probation period when I called in sick with COVID19 and it took me 6 months of hounding to get my ROE which they incorrectly marked as quit and refuse to change for accuracy. When it came time to receive my T4 it didn't arrive until 2 weeks after the deadline, they cited new computer systems" which is incredibly unprofessional. This would be the last place I would have my loved one."

This home appears to try very hard to provide activities to keep the residents engaged. I thank the recreation staff for that Their are many caring staff members that go out of their way to treat the patients like human people with feelings., Thanks Kieth! From what I hear the menus look good but the actual food is often not consumable. I realize that items like steak needs to be mushed up, spices and salt can not be used. I suggest having condiments ready and served with the meal. Perhaps some Mrs Dash spices, mild hot sauces, mayo, ketchup, mustard. Lime, butter HP sauce. Can be always available and quick to be served before the dinning begins. The residents need napkins and need to be reminded on how to use them on the on going basis.Medical care needs to be address and copies of the results from all tests and doctors reports should be provided to the patient. We are not putting our loved one in Hollyrood to die. We want them to thrive and have care to extend their lives. Each patient needs tender care. They often need to be transferred to wheelchairs, tubs, beds. This needs to be done with care and compassion as it can be a very painful process. The straps must be spread out as to not put undue pressure on the back of the legs. Please do not talk about a patient when they are right there, include them in the conversation. Change napkins with care and application of protection cream is applied on the cleaned skin. Just like an infant, a rash is unacceptable. Please provide your clients with a written statement of all charge to their account monthly. On the whole it appears that friendships are nurtured between some of the staff and clients. This all helps in making my family member safe and cared for. I thank all the special staff that go the extra mile to add joy to our parents lives. You know who you are! Wishing you and your families health and happiness in the New Year.Ps. I would love to see the daily activities posted on a private app of secure Facebook page. I gives me great pleasure to see my sweet mama smile.

Small long term care facility that is old but reasonably well maintained. Private rooms offer adequate space but semi-private rooms are tight especially when trying to visit in room (pre-Covid). Outdoor spaces in summer season are small but pretty with many flowers. Most staff have positive and kind attitudes so my loved one feels happy, safe and secure. This has been a blessing during this time of reduced family visits due to Covid 19.Staff have worked hard to keep up with the ever changing visit recommendations from AHS and have managed this reasonably well! There have been no significant communication issues with nursing staff and administration; it is timely and appropriate. My loved one really enjoys meals and snacks - taste, quantity and variety appear to be suitable.Prior to Covid, we found the location to be great as it was easy to get to the nearby mall for an outing and the local neighborhood was pleasant for little walks.Bathing is the one area my loved one dislikes as there are only two baths in the building and due to staffing, must be scheduled - which is not received well.

This home is always short staffed and administrative staff is pure evil. Do not leave your loved one here. Do not do private care as they always run short staffed. Always do government facilities as they more staff always and better care.
