Ed did a setup on my new tele and rewired some vintage microphones for me. He's great to deal with, fair-priced and knows his stuff. A real asset to the local music supply chain and the community at large. And a real supporter of local live music, having sponsored a live music series.

My second time in at Birchway. Again greeted by the owner. Friendly service, knowledgeable staff, clean gear, with a really cool focus on Canadian made gear. I love this shop, it feels like visiting a friends place, and I left with a one of a kind piece of music artwork.

Had a wonderful experience here today. Came in with a guitar repair request and it was done on the spot in a few minutes for 20 bucks. Was able to pick up a couple cool products as well and the selection of Canadian products and boutique guitars and pedals is exceptional. Don't usually review places, but this was good.

Ed fixed my Hawaiian parlor guitar. He did a great job, it was warped and cracked and needed much work. It was unplayable and he brought it back to life. Can't say enough about how happy I am. I highly recommend his work.

Owner Ed was very knowledgeable, generous and easy to deal with.He gave me a great deal on a guitar, case and strap. He is even ordering me a proper tremelo a for the used guitar he sold me (I am a lefty, guitar came with a right handed tremelo).Highly recommend this place.Thanks for the great guitar, Ed!
