Charlottetown Boulevard Childcare

There seems to be some unfair reviews of this childcare due to situations outside of the daycare's control (ex. city-wide hydro outages), but overall I am happy with the care that my child has received. This is a licensed, non-profit childcare, and the rates are very reasonable when compared to other childcare centres. My child partakes in various learning activities including reading, crafts, growing plants, cooking food, and plays with a wide range of toys. She's taken outside to play every day (they have a nice playground for the children to play in), and the daycare staff makes these lovely scrapbooks of the children's development. I have registered my son here without hesitation.

Staff are experienced with some being there for over 20 years! Taking good care of our children and handling the implications brought on by the pandemic professionally. The space is large, they offer part-time care where many wouldn't, they offer healthy meals, and children have a good outdoor space.

My kid went to Charlottetown daycare for over 1.5 years until he started JK. He loved going to daycare and had a very good experience. The staff also helped him in his learning journey a lot. We saw a huge improvement in his communication skills and social skills after he started daycare. He did lots of arts and crafts in there. We are really happy that we choose Charlottetown as our kids daycare.

In my opinion if you're looking for a reliable daycare I suggest looking elsewhere. There was three times in a month where they had power outages. They gave absolutely no notice that they were closed for the day. A call at 7 a.m. on a Monday morning doesn't give enough time to find an alternative for daycare. I simply asked the management team as well as the board of directors why they don't have a contingency plan when the power goes out. They had absolutely no answer for my question. They also told me that it wasn't their responsibility to have a contingency plan when they shut down. I contacted several the daycares in the area they all have contingency plans when power outages happen. This place does not. also when I asked the question of why they don't have a contingency plan I was yelled at and hung up on. They do not return your money for the days that they are closed, for something that is their fault. You have to stay home and not get paid and pay them for not opening. They are extremely quick to demand the $1300.00 a month for services but will close with zero notice and not even give the day back. This is absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional an completely rediculois. I do not recommend using this institution due to the reliability issues, unprofessional conduct and they I have absolutely no accountability in my opinion.

The level of care this centre provides goes above and beyond. We are so happy with our experience there and would highly recommend!

Staff are dedicated and caring, our kids have enjoyed their time at the centre. Would not hesitate to recommend Charlottetown to other parents

Excellent daycare. The staff are amazing and my daughter is excited to go every single morning and comes home happy. Would recommend to anyone!
