If you're a collector, you come to the right place. The gentlemen in the store are very informative and polite. They give better deals and the pricing is great. My son collects foreign currencies and we come here a lot They have wide collections of current and previous editions of worldwide currencies.

Wall to wall collectibles. Nice enough gentlemen working behind the counter. They were patient with me and my coin collection which was really just a pile of beat up old coins and some things that looked like coins. They explained to what I had. They seemed fair and honest people. Lots of dedicated collectors seemed to frequent this store. Thanks for your patience. On a side not I left my book bag there and a day later when I realized what I had done I get a knock on my door and was the owner returning it to me personally. Thanks!

I visited them last week, they have very wide variety of banknotes and coins with very reasonable price, I'll visit them regularly.

I just visit the store a few days ago and haven't been here for a long time since the pandemic.When I first got into the store I guess one of the guy did not recognize me. I have been to the store many times before the past few years.At first the guy was watching me like a hawk, I wanted to tell him that I been here before.Maybe he was also being helpful so I don't mind the help.But if someone was going to follow me around or shadow me it is very hard to shop so at first I didn't feel comfortable.I felt much better after the guy gave me some space.I also like to mention I probably spend about almost $1000 a month on my collection from buying online and sometimes I rather go to local store so I can save money from high shipping cost and don't have to wait forever for my items to arrive.This is probably the only store I visit in Vancouver.I will probably be back in the future.

I spend a lot of money on gold and silver etc...I went into this stamp/gold/silver store to support a local business.Well you snooze you loss.Three old guys sitting behind the counter watching a game on TV.All three of them just ignored me, what a mistake.I wanted to see how long they would ignore me, even with me getting closer to see if they would start a conversation; well they couldn't even bother.I finally asked one question, to see how they would respond.It seemed like a struggle dealing with me.I am into business myself and would never act like this. They lost out on a person who spends money, very unprofessional how all three of them acted.I'm guessing the game they watched was worth missing out on a new customer.

I first visited Giuseppe and his store in November 2021 as I started to get back into collecting Canadian coins. Since then, I have been back to the store four times where I have sold and purchased coins. The store is a step back in time and I encourage anyone interested in the hobby to check the store out!Giuseppe is extremely knowledgeable and has been very helpful in answering my questions as I have been getting back into the hobby. His pricing is fair and reasonable. I agree with previous reviews stating cash in hand is beneficial.I will be back! Great owner and great store!

I have been to this coin store a few times now and this is the place to go for your gold and silver needs. Bring cash if you want deals. This is the oldest rule in the book when it comes to local coin shops. The owners are a pleasure to deal with. You are dealing with a honest owner who knows his stuff.Best coin shop in the lower mainland for obscure items and selection of coins from around the world.

Chantou is my go-to place for coin and stamp supplies. I know of no other store with such a wide range of these items. I often find fellow collectors in the shop and it also serves as a friendly, social gathering place.

Haven't got to visit yet, but they are one of the only stamp enthusiasts left in Vancouver. They were super friendly and informative on the phone. I plan on visiting soon - the location is a bit far from skytrain would be the only big shortcoming with this store.

Great selection of many coins, banknotes, and accessories stuffs. Pricing is reasonable, stuffs are friendly.
