Came here for dinner on a Friday and first impression of the atmosphere is nice and big. Definitely gives izakaya vibes, their bar is roomy. Food wise I was underwhelmed with the flavours even without the given price point. Everything was mid, not bad but nothing exceptional. I recommend the miso cod and the oden. Uni fried rice was disappointing. Service was great and staff are very friendly.

Came here for some drinks and food at night. Overall great atmosphere and pretty large selection of food items. There's a DJ on weekends it appears and pink tree that you see on Instagram which is great for pictures.Highly recommend the sliders.

It was a last minute dinner plan and we didn’t book a table on Sunday night. We got a table fairly easy and Food was ok. We ordered some skewers, rolls and snack. Price is a little expensive and you can probably get better quality elsewhere. That being said, we do enjoy the atmosphere and staffs are friendly and polite.

I was thoroughly disappointed with the service provided here.Similar to another review from a month ago (I believe this was the couple who celebrated their anniversary) we were the other table that booked in advance for a birthday celebration.Upon arriving we were told we were only allowed to sit at the bar. We would’ve been okay with it if we had known in advance but what made it worst was the fact that we were told another person booked a table for 2 as well and they were celebrating their anniversary. It made us feel less valued.We then got a choice of the bar or party room. We decided to go with the party room. I brought a birthday cake to be brought out as a surprise after so I thought there would be more space to celebrate my bestfriend with her cake.1. The music was extremely loud in the party room and made it really hard to have a conversation.2. We had to get someones attention to take our order, no one checked in on us after that and the only people who made it better were the people who brought out the food3. Another group joined shortly after and were extremely loud and rowdy that shared the space so we decided to finish up quickly and leave4. They forgot about the cake so we had to ask someone to get it for us to take home after we paid the billIt’s unfortunate that we had a poor experience because the food was actually decent but at that price point, the service really brought down the entire experience.Like most of the other reviews state, arrive early to allow time to find parking as the parking situation is not ideal during peak hours.

Nice little restaurant. First time here. They have happy hour with some specials which is nice including a beer special too. Stagg is pretty friendly as well, food was decent. Overall I would probably return again during happy hour to try some more stuff and do recommend to others in the area to give it a try.

Beyond impressed with the MISO MUSHROOM UDON; by far my favourite dish aside from the RYU SLIDERS! Priced very well, servers were so sweet, overall great vibes on a weekend evening with good drinks & good eats. Definitely come here with a few friends so you can try more dishes!

Had a chance to try this place out yesterday and the atmosphere is really nice, very spacious. Lots of interesting choices of Japanese food. The creamy uni udon is simply amazing. The Rolls are huge and Love the food and definitely will be back soon.

My fiancé booked a reservation for our 7 year anniversary and we were both really excited to come and try their food as we love Izakaya, but we ended up being disappointed almost instantly.They told us they only had a bar seat available despite us booking IN ADVANCE and proceeds to put us all the way in the corner where there was not a lot of space and basically shafted from everything. When we asked if we could switch over to a table, they said they had other reservations coming in and couldn’t give it to us and that they usually seat tables of 2 or 3 at the bar. However, we saw a few tables of 2 get a table seat throughout the entire time we were there.The food was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price. My favourite thing was probably the soft shell crab but even then it was mediocre.The service was also pretty awful. The server at the bar who took our order looked so miserable the whole time. They never even bothered to refill our water, even when we put our EMPTY cups basically in front of them. We quickly finished up and left. I’m so disappointed cause it kind of ruined our anniversary dinner.I would rather take the time and make the trip to Nome Izakaya instead, their food and service is much better. Safe to say I won’t be coming back here and wouldn’t really recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Went to this izakaya restaurant in Richmond Hill, food was a bit disappointing, fried squid was overdone (super chewy) and out of the 2 orders we had to send one back as it was way too salty. Skewers were likely not done over flames, missing the charcoal smell and taste, and the sauce was not very tasty. The pressed sushi was not bad. Overall its not up to par comparing to other izakaya places around GTA.

Came here on a Friday night for 7:30PM and was able to book a reso 45 mins before for 4 people.They had St Patrick's Day drink specials which was great. Good spread of food and great service. The food came out really fast. The sliders are must try and it was great vibes!Would come back, note it was a 2 hr seating limit and would recommend to make a reso.
