It was time to change out our original heat pump and air handler. We got a detailed quote and a clear explanation of the components with options. On the day the work was completed the team worked efficiently and with minimal disturbance. They were very careful to clear up when finished and took time to ensure we knew all about how to use the new system. Happy to recommend them.

My restaurant got a service from Tyler yesterday. Our refrigerator suddenly stopped cooling down and he was the only person who came by on that day for us after his schedule. My AC went out during the heat wave. I called CCR and was very surprised that they were able to fit me in on the same day as I called. I was expecting a massive repair and was happily surprised to learn that the repair was relatively minor and fixable on the spot! Capital City Refrigeration installed a heat exchanger and cooling vents for me. The were professional, on time, and met my expectations completely. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who needs a cooling/heating system installed. They were fast and pleasant and stand by their work after the install.On top of all the good work they are genuinely nice people!It's been 6 months and heat exchanger is working very well! I'm have to say I'm completely satisfied with the system and would recommend it to anyone. Hasn't been really expensive to use either.

After the “Heat Dome of 2021” we decided it was time for a Heat Pump. I contacted the contractor who built our home 23 years ago as he knows just the right people and services after his over 40 years of building high end custom homes on the Saanich Peninsula. Without hesitation he said: Capital City Refrigeration. I contacted Capital City Refrigeration, Tyler Little contacted me, visited our home, reviewed our old gas furnace, our duct system, our vents for our two-story home, and he was impressive: prompt, efficient, friendly, and great knowledge as he has been in the Heat Pump business for over 20 years – I was impressed. In short order he sent me an estimate with cost outlining exactly what he would do and the Heat Pump best for our home. He ordered the Heat Pump. He contacted us with adequate notice that the Heat Pump had arrived, he organized the sheet metal and electrical sub-contractors, we set the install date and just like “clockwork” with Tyler, his team, the sub-contractors on schedule, and all working together for a perfect installation. The Heat Pump is working great, Tyler did an outstanding job, gave us a great explanation of the system, how to operate the system (very simple), and did great job of explaining the BC Better Homes Rebate and organized the rebate submission for us. As two retired professors, we give Tyler and Capital City Refrigeration an A+++. The contractor who built our home was right: Capital City Refrigeration is the BEST.

I would definitely recommend Capital City Refrigeration. We had Tyler install a heat pump onto our existing furnace. He was knowledgeable, fast and took pride in his work. We are very happy with our new heating and cooling System.

'Capital City Refrigeration' installed our heat pump and replaced the furnace a couple of years ago. In spite of their affirmation on Forbis/BCHydro rebate, the rebate was not approved and Tylor promised he would do the first maintenance free of charge. Now, as the time for the maintenance was due, we have called Tylor 5 times over two weeks (and left messages to get back to us for the maintenance). We never heard from him. We are very disappointed at his poor quality of service.

In a crazy busy marketplace it was a delight to deal with Tyler who provided a clear quote, customized our new heat pump system to suit our house, kept us well informed, provided a very professional installation and did it all on time and on budget, exactly as promised. Tyler at Capital City Refrigeration installed our heat pump in December 2020. It worked great until January 2022 when it started to operate erratically. Beginning February 2 I contacted them to hopefully get service. He kept putting me off until late February when he told me we had missed our opportunity. I waited until March 7 hoping for a positive response then called The competition. They arrived one and a half hours later and serviced our heat pump to our satisfaction.Larry Pollon
