My wife and I visited different Taekwondo schools to register our 4-yo daughter and we can say Champion Martial Arts is the most professional facility for kids. Our daughter had attended one school before when she started attending CMA at the Wolfedale Rd location. All I can say is that CMA exceeded our expectations:* Master Samer Kolak is a great master. He’s not only a work-class black belt Taekwondo athlete but also a skillful teacher for kids. He knows and understands how to approach kids based on their specific personalities to encourage them to do their best. We really appreciate how he treats and speaks to kids and how he patiently explains to do the different kicks, punches, and blocks (and the Poomsae).* Seasoned instructors/masters. Passionate teachers that give individual attention to each kid in the class, kindly explaining how to properly execute the exercises while keeping them focused and entertained.* Clean and safe environment for kids. The facility is big enough and equipped, with a suitable area for parents to stay and watch the training.* It doesn’t matter if your kid is 5 years old, at CMA they perform the same warm-up exercises, the same punches and kicks (according to their belt colour) and participate in the same matches and games as the older ones. In other schools, small kids are assigned to a specific class where the activities are more for fun than real Taekwondo training.* Classes are 50 minutes long, perfect to burn off energy. Other schools offer only 30-minute classes for kids. Our almost 5 years-old daughter is thrilled. She’s learning how to show greater respect and be disciplined. She’s also acquired more flexibility and balance in a short time. The best part of all is that she’s now attached to Taekwondo more than ever. She was promoted to Yellow One 2 weeks ago and that made her day. I can say that when she broke the board on the day of her test, she realized that she could accomplish whatever she wants if she works hard. She gained confidence and now she says she’s working harder to get the black belt. I recommend CMA to anyone who’s looking for an outstanding Taekwondo school in Mississauga-Oakville area.

What does it mean to earn a black belt at CMA?By: Jashank SunilFor me to earn a black belt from CMA it's a honor. My first goal since I started taekwondo has been to get a black belt and now I am getting my black belt very soon. I would like to thank my parents and masters who helped to get to this point. Taekwondo helps with leader ship skills, flexibility, strength focusing, discipline, respect, etc. It took me 1 year and half year to get my black belt. Thanks to CMA I got to learn a lot of new things. Taekwondo helps you in school to by discipline, focusing and dedication. If your nervous to speak to people then CMA Can help you by making you help out the class and speak to others. There are several branches across GTA. Also you can visit different branches instead of only one. The main branch is in Oakville. To Get a black belt it takes a lot of practice. My favorite part about CMA is that if you do really good in a test then you can skip a belt. which many taekwondo's don't have. The main think about taekwondo is parents. In CMA there are programs like sparring, nunchakus and bow staffs. The required age to start CMA is 5 years old. At the end of every class the masters let us play games which improves thinking focusing strength and speed. In classes the masters push us into getting better at kicks and poomsae. Sometimes to get trained by Olympians. All the masters at CMA are certified trainers. I would Like to thank CMA again for making me a new person. If it weren't for CMA I would never have made it this far. Thank you for reading my review. , Jashank Sunil

Great environment for children’s growth and self-confidence. Dedicated Masters who focus on each student individually by encouraging mindfulness and discipline. Has helped students improve social, physical, emotional and cognitive domains. Improvement noticed within a month of class attendance. Flexibility on class schedule to benefit families and to maintain continuous attendance of students.

What it means to earn a black belt.By: PrishaFor me, owning a black belt comes with great responsibility. As the highest coloured belt in the academy, a black belt is an example to others. Not only their skills but also their attitude should be superior. Their kicks should be unparalleled whereas their behaviour should be respectful and modest. Even with this, their yearning to learn new things shouldn’t stop. They should be open to learn new things from anyone, with coachability. Black belts should be burning with passion.A black belt should be a black belt inside and outside the academy. They should know how to implement their skills learnt inside the academy, to the outside world. The discipline and respect I have learnt in Taekwondo is not only used at home, but also at school, classes, with everyone I meet. My fitness has been praised in school which gives me more confidence.Being a black belt isn’t easy. It takes a lot of time, dedication and effort to become one. I have been training taekwondo for 7 years and have been injured countless times on my face, hands, legs to reach the level I am, but, doing Taekwondo has also increased my endurance, flexibility and confidence. It always makes me push harder to do better.Even with a black belt going to Dan II, I have a lot of place to improve myself. Black belt doesn’t mean the end of a journey, it means the beginning of a new level and I can’t wait to learn more.

We have been coming for Champions for the past 4 years and I can’t say enough good things! So excited about the new location!!! All of the Masters are exceptional teachers, they teach with passion and discipline giving individual attention to each and every student. I have watched my children, nephews and family friends grow in their confidence, skills and physical fitness! Master Kolak is one of our favourite teachers! Champions is a space for our children to learn the true meaning and power of Taekwando!! I would recommend it to anyone I know!

Master Samir is very helpful and listen to all your concerns and resolve. We moved in from another country where my daughters were in between of Taekwondo coaching and Master continued from their belts. Team of teachers are dedicated and make the session friendly being disciplined at same time. I’ll highly encourage this school to everyone genuinely interested in Taekwondo.

What Does It Mean To Earn a Black Belt at CMA By: Si PhanAt first when I joined CMA I was only a white belt and my goal was to get Black belt but now here I am very close to Black 2nd Dan. My parents couldn't be more happy with me. CMA is a reputable organization and I am lucky to be trained by the best masters I could ever ask for. CMA has several branches so it is convenient for me to practice at different locations.I have learned to have more discipline, strength, flexibility etc. Which are necessary for assisting me in life. I become a confident person who can protect other people around me. Even if the country goes to war in the future I also can serve in the army to have peace for the country. In the future I could teach taekwondo to poor children in Vietnam during the summer and sometimes I could come back to help my masters at CMA.I started to get better grades because I would have better discipline and pay more attention after going to CMA and it has even helped me play better at basketball because I have more shooting strength and aim due to going to CMA also I am in the 2nd best team in my school. When I started doing taekwondo I got to meet new people and make friends at school.I am proud of myself because I am the youngest person to get the black belt in my family and relatives and it makes me feel really cool, thanks to CMA. I hope there are more and more people practicing taekwondo. You would become a better person, get a lot of long term benefits and be happy about yourself.Thank You CMA.
