Artistic Shadows Landscapes & Pools

Really high quality work. Different than other vendors out there. Can't say enough good things about Scott and his team.

Would not recommend Artistic Shadows! Came highly recommended at the London Home Show but am really disappointed. I asked for a quote and a design for my dream backyard. To make things easy I had already completed a detailed drawing with Google SketchUp. They said it was going to be about a month when I paid a deposit, that was in March. To date I haven’t received anything so I had to request a refund 5 months later. Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism :(

Scott is not an honest businessman. He promises all sorts but does not deliver. I had him do my yard a few years back and this review is long overdue. The first thing we asked him was if he could fix a water issue we were having with the window well. Scott said that he was an expert in this area and that he would be able to fix it. He did not! He put in all sorts of precautions for water filling up in the yard but did not address the real problem which was the window well. It turns out that there was a clog in the big O. Scott actually dug up the very area and never looked into the problem or fixed it. In the end the work he did made the water issue worse. When we called him back about it he came and did some cosmetic fixes that still never addressed the problem. After that he started to cleverly forget what the problem was redirect the responsibility by asking us if we checked the roof and the downspouts etc. Scott is clever that way!! The problem was fixed when we paid another company to come in and fix it. The second big issue was that we wanted privacy. So Scott placed a few trees here and there but the privacy issue was also not addressed. Mostly he planted cheap tall grasses that take until mid to end summer to grow. I would be happy to show pictures upon request.In the end, Scott does not deliver what he promises and charges for everything...even for the grass that is ruined because of his work. There are plenty of honest landscapers out there...I suggest that you try an honest one that takes more pride in doing a job well and honouring their word than taking every last penny possible! We will NEVER use artistic shadows again and we will warn all our friends about Scott.Yes you do not have my name on file because this is my username for internet use.
