I recently had a flooring challenge that required additional pieces of a discontinued product line. Challenge was, I bought this flooring in Sept /22 and started the installation in Feb/23. I needed a few extra boxes. After sharing my issue with Garrett, he was able to find enough product at another store. He went out of his way to make arrangements to ship the product to Kingston. However, with the help of Brian and Polly, I was able to source the products in Ottawa and picked them up there instead. This customer service team in Kingston, Garret, Polly and Brian were awesome in the follow-up and professionalism in displaying honest, sincere and passionate customer service. Rona has always been a favourite store and this experience enhances my loyalty. Thank you Team Rona!!!

Gerry, Patrick, and Chan were amazing. In every way, they provided amazing customer service, working with me to ensure I had everything I needed and more. I am so grateful to the management team and employees for their remarkable kindness. Great experience!!!!

Placed an order for baseboard. Told the order will take about a week. I have called a couple times to check the ETA and no one from lumber would ever pick up. My call would just get circled to customer service and redirected, over an over again, and after 10 minutes of this, I would hang up. Called again, and this time I got the option to leave a voicemail. Just got a call back, and was told that an order wasn't placed for us (we been waiting a week already). When I questioned why we were told an order would be placed, he didn't have an answer, and asked who we spoke to. Needless to say, I've cancelled my order, and I will shop somewhere else. Terrible service. Too many other options, for companies to think that this service is acceptable.

It's a pretty good store. Fairly well stocked and organized. Employees can be lacking at times if you need assistance. But for the most part, a good store.

My wife and I went to Rona today and after finding what we needed proceeded to the cashiers. There are none. Self checkout only. While we were scanning our items, without any problem, the employee came over and very rudely said “here” and took the scanner out of my wife’s hand and finished scanning. This is the second time in two weeks we’ve dealt with rude employees at this store. It’s also the last time. We are expected to do their jobs and are treated with disrespect. We will never set foot in this store again, or any other Rona.

Firstly, I am not a fan of self checkouts and won’t use them. Don’t be cheap, help create Canadian jobs and don’t eliminate them.After walking up to the cash with very heavy and awkward items, the only girl at the checkout would not ring me through. She politely told me she couldn’t, and I had to use a self checkout. Apparently, the only check out left in the store is at the far end near the contractors desk, and I was expected to walk all the way to that end of the store with my heavy awkward items then all the way back. Apparently Rona does not appreciate my business and I’ll be shopping elsewhere from now on. Perhaps Home Depot will sell me the same items for the same price but with better customer service. Corporations use words like “convenience”when justifying laying people off in favour of machines. There was nothing convenient about trying to shop here today.

We have been going to Rona for over four months now as we renovate our first home. The service has been absolutely outstanding. No other home improvement store in Kingston comes close to their level of customer service and their prices. We have never had a bad experience while there. The manager, Patrick was beyond approachable and the entire team was attentive, knowledgeable and patient with our many questions. We are forever Rona customers now and beyond impressed with the amazing staff there!!!!

My wife and I would like to send a BIG shout out to Polly (customer service), Gerry and Al (flooring) for all of the support and patience. They definitely made the process of buying flooring + other items with ease, fun and guidance.Thank you!

Drove in from Westport yesterday to look at exterior shutters. Wandered looking for the shutters and staff in the back section for 15-20 minutes.. all while an absent sales clerk was repeatedly being paged to appliances. In frustration we decided to head to Home Depot and stopped at the front cash-service and mentioned our frustration. The female clerk looked at her watch (5:15pm) and told me that staff is rarely available in the back at this time of evening as they typically go home around 5:00. I mentioned I had driven an hour and I was advised to shop elsewhere. You can’t make this stuff up. Of this is the customer service we can expect with the Lowe’s merger we’re doomed. Anyhow we did end up at Lowe’s to where I mentioned our experience and we were pleasantly served.

I don't normally write reviews but felt I needed to in order to recognize the exceptional customer service of Ben and Fred in Contracting. Both gentlemen have gone above and beyond to ensure a large special composite order went smoothly and helped trouble shoot when any problem arised. I hope Rona recognizes what wonderful and dedicated employees they have. Thank you Ben and Fred!
