My husband and I popped in here for dinner after a family Celebration of life based on recommendations. The place is clean, nicely decorated and the service was prompt and friendly! The food was amazing! We had the 2 for 1 ribs and wow, what a meal! It included 2 large salads with an entire rack of ribs and we chose fries, which are home chipped! We literally ate until full and still had enough to carry out for an entire meal for us both the next day! I highly recommend this place!

Went to Phil's for lunch while we were in Midland. Service was good and our waitress was attentive but not very talkative. Food was fresh and hot. Great portions size for your money. Thought some of the starters were a bit pricy so we stuck with just our meals. Fries are homemade. Chicken fingers were amazing. Fish wasn't the best but still okay. Batter was crispy but very bready on the inside.Looks like they have live bands so might be a fun night out.I would definitely give this place a try again and would recommend it.

Ordered the calamari, smelled fishy as soon as server brought to table. I took one bite and actually spit it out. Told the server, she was very understanding and asked if we wanted another order or just return it. We had the Cajun wings for main. They weren't hot,temperature wise and very dry. Overall very disappointed in the food. Have had wings here before and they were much better. The server was great and did take the calamari off the menu.

I am a visitor from out of town staying in Midland and looked for restaurants in the area close to the Super 8 and we came across this on our last night here and decided to try it.We decided to first order some funnel fries to eat while waiting for our take out and they where honestly to DIE for! The portion was big and could easily be split between multiple people and they taste amazing, I almost ordered another to goWe ordered two fries to go and one gravy, the gravy was easily split between the two fries and the fries where amazing. During the drive back to the hotel we had to make a few stops which sadly made the fries soggy but that was on us. When we saw them served out at the restaurant itself you could tell they where golden brown, crispy and freshly made though.The one thing I realized was some differences between their online menu to in restaurant menu which was sad because the burger my mom wanted was on the online menu. Hopefully they can update that so there is not confusion for people who are ordering takeoutThe server was friendly and quick to come back to see if anything was needed and the takeout came fast.I would love to try some more stuff from this place next time I am in Barrie and would recommend that you do try this place

We were in Midland and decided to have lunch. I have gift cards for Phil's so we went there. The food is always good at either Phil's. I had pizza and my wife had fish and chips. Delicious food. Server was ok. She did as much as was needed. My tip reflexes that.

Came here with a group of 25 and arranged a fixed menu with Phil himself. The staff were very kind and on the ball. Food was great for the value and I would definitely return again. Ribs and fries, pasta, and dish were the entrees we agreed upon with dessert and salad included. Would definitely return and try there other menu items. Thanks Phil you really showed us a great night out in Midland.

Beer was nice and cold and cocktails were a very reasonable price. Wasn't busy on a Saturday afternoon when we visited. Only downside was the service, she seemed genuinely unhappy to be working and made us feel like placing an order was ruining her afternoon.
