Went for an earlier dinner. Portions are a bit smaller so I recommend ordering multiple dishes and sharing. Ambiance and atmosphere were great but the food left me a bit lacklustre. Brussels sprouts were crisp and balanced, one of the best dishes we had.Will be back to try again as everyone has an off day! My experience was fine as the food was the main focus, I’d like to give another go at some other things on the menu.

Alright, here it goes. This place is the most delicious restaurant I have eaten at! I am a little conflicted as the portion sizings were kind of small for the price. My man and I ordered 2 small plates, 2 mains and a dessert and spent over 150$. However, I do not regret it. The taste and presentation were fantastic. Every bite was savored and left me dreaming about the next dish. If you want a boogie dinning experience, this is definitely the place.

I’m conflicted. On one hand the food was delicious and the atmosphere is nice.However the portions are on the smaller side for the price.My husband and I shared 2 of the featured small plates. $22 for arctic char (I know it is not a common menu item but it was smaller than we thought it would be for the price) $15 for some beets.We also shared 2 mains - the fettuccine and the pork tenderloin. The fettuccini was amazing. I was very slightly underwhelmed by the pork tenderloin though.We then shared the special earl grey crème brûlée. That was amazing.We also had a tea each with dessert.For an almost $175 dinner date, I don’t think it was quite worth it. Even though the food was great, we walked away not full. I don’t know if we would come back. Not for a meal anyway. Maybe just a treat….

Here goes it, kinda disappointing. Definitely overrated, I got the arugula salad with burrata and tomatos & my mom got the burger with fries. The salad was visually appealing, but unfortunately, the flavor didn't live up to my expectations. All i could taste was the dressing which was also over dressed. For the burger and fries it was so dry, burnt. Despite the disappointing meal, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was good.

Highly recommended. All the dishes are awesome. I went for lunch and had the best chicken sandwich ever. Staff is really nice and polite. Our server Amanda was really helpful. 5 stars.

I had the oysters followed by the croquettes. Then I finished off with the scallop risotto as a main. The scallop risotto was my favourite, so flavourful and rich. Not for the faint of heart" was my favourite cocktail

Went here after visiting the Leaf and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. I ordered the pork tenderloin and I can't get over the carrot puree, it was so delicious! I also ordered the peach corn cake with tobacco infused ice cream and that was very tasty too. The portion size was perfect, and I left feeling super satisfied. Would recommend visiting the leaf and this restaurant to anyone visiting Winnipeg.

Finer dining experience inside The Leaf. This restaurant caters to a more sophisticated crowd with featured (small plate) options to main courses that include duck, pasta, lamp, pork, etc.The place is nice with plenty of tables but reservation is recommended if not required. Looks like outdoor seating will be available in the summer time.The staff was helpful in suggesting dishes and explaining the contents of them.The portions are a bit on the small size which I didn't mind but others in my party did.The have a full stocked bar so you can order about everything including local beers on tap.The food was good but could have been better. Overall it was a nice experience.

We shared the Beef Short Rib as a starter and it was an absolute delight. We were so excited to get the rest of our dinner.I had the Seared Scallop while my husband had the Hand cut fettuccini. The first couple bites to the Seared Scallop was so-so, then after awhile the taste got boring. It wasn’t something I truly enjoyed in the end. As for my husband, despite being so excited for the Hand cut fettuccini, he was the most disappointed. It was even more evident during desserts. The chocolate fudge and brownie was no different from the ones at the grocery store.But, on a positive note we really enjoyed the atmosphere and to top things off we had such a lovely waitress. Thank you, Hope for being so informative and friendly. You did a fantastic job!

To be honest the evening in its entirety was quite nice but there were some surprises. It’s not unusual for my wife and I to have appetizers as a meal, so our server said that three small plates and a ‘just for the table’ would be enough. That’s how we usually do it in other restaurants. The just for the table we ordered was a fuagra and honestly was a flavourless 3 bites each. Brussel sprouts were good but only good and the biggest disappointment was the prawns that came 10 minutes later. Pretty much shrimp from a shrimp ring and a nice reduction of some kind. 10 minutes later was the short rib which was was good but again, seemed like a lot of labour that went into something that was just good. My recommendation would be to have the mains for a dinner. We spent a hundred dollars and left hungry. Nice atmosphere, good service and great beverages. if I could have I would have given a 3.5. I will try again!
