We had a very short time window to move my father out of the house and into new (and smaller) quarters.Estie and her team did an excellent job of taking care of all of the logistics for us from packing through to unpacking things at the destination, freeing me up to ensure that everything else that needed to be looked after was looked after properly.Great work, I can't say enough how important it was to be done right on a short timeline.

Estie and her team recently helped my wife and I downsize. They offered services such as garbage removal, donation runs as well as packing our belongings into boxes. We needed the help due to a lack of space in our home. Very well done, would use yycdownsizing again in the future.

Not recommendedI moved my mom into a seniors’ facility and hired YYC Downsizing based on my conversation with the owner Estie. She agreed to reduce the $500 deposit to $300. My mom felt more comfortable with a lower amount since YYC Downsizing was fairly new to the moving business. That agreement didn’t last.Less than 24 hours before moving day I received a phone call and an email from Estie asking for an additional $200 for the deposit. This was not our agreement. We had just met with her the previous day for a walk through with no mention of the sudden change. Ultimately, we agreed that the $200 would be paid when the movers arrive in the morning. What choice did I have? If my mom wasn’t under a time crunch for a mover, I would have cancelled.It was an unprofessional tactic to demand more money than agreed upon at the last possible moment. YYC Downsizing received the payment in full on moving day. I’m not sure why it was so urgent for $200 ahead of schedule.The reason I gave two stars instead of one star was only because the moving crew did their job effectively as expected.

I can't thank Estie and her team enough. Her kindness and professionalism helped us during a very difficult time and she eased the pressure of a humungous task. I would highly recommend her services if you are in need of packing, storage and removal.
