Great fishing every year our family stayed with Gord and Susanne! Can't wait till I can make it back there. If you play your cards right you may get to go noodling.

My family (wife with two teenage boys, and brother) spent a week at VBL in late August 2022. I’ve fished a lot in northern WI and MN, and the fishing at Eagle Lake was about two to three times better. Countless number of northern pike were caught through out the week, one 33” muskie, one 22” lake trout (from Clearwater Lake), and fair number of walleye (simply because we didn’t use any live bait). We were in a three bedroom cabin (two single beds in each bedroom) with one bathroom. The cabin was exceptionally clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a fish fry dinner on Sunday night and chat with other guests. I’m guessing 90%+ of the people there were repeat guests, and it’s not difficult to see why. Gord was extremely prompt in replying to my emails with friendly and coherent responses during my booking process. He fillets all of your daily catch is readily available to answer any questions. I look forward to going back soon. Also, if my best advice for anyone new going to VBL are: get an Eagle Lake Hot Spots map, and go with the upgrade boat package. The upgraded boats are very nice and well worth the added cost for a week.

I spent a week at Vermillion Bay Lodge in the summer of 2016. The weather was really bad and the fishing wasn't that hot, but you can't do anything about either of those things. On the other hand, the cabins, boats, and facilities were in A+ shape. You couldn't ask for a better host than Gord. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

We'ev been going to VBL for more than ten years and it is one of my favorite places to be in the world! Gord and Susanne are incredible hosts and run a top notch resort. The cost is a bargain compared to all other resorts I've been to. The fishing is amazing and Vermilion Bay on Eagle Lake is incredilby beautiful. I guarantee that once you try Vermilion Bay Lodge, like me, you will become a customer for life. Thank you Gord and Susanne for creating this little slice of heaven.

My son and I spent a wonderful week at Vermillion Bay Lodge in late September. Our experience was great and we have already booked for next year. The Musky week was a lot of fun and Gord & Susanne are great hosts. Eagle Lake is a beautiful lake and has lots of fish in it. It's large water so you want a GPS. Mike used his boat the docking facilities were good with electricity to charge your trolling motor readily available. Great spot to have a great time.
