The Piano Works Farringdon
Really great venue and our waiter Carlos was lovely. We were a bit late for our booking, but they still managed to accommodate us and squeeze in our 3 courses before they needed the table back. The pianists were very talented and food was really good - they were serving tables of around 30 people each but our little table of 3 still got very good attentive service.

The Piano Works was okay. We had a decent time, however there are miles better places to go in London at that price point. The best part was the food by far, can't complain at the quality. However, the live music was okay, although not as great as the website suggested. We were more disappointed with the service, it felt a little like a European tourist trap that we hadn't really come across at home before... We had a 2-hour slot but our waitress was keen to give us the bill after 90 minutes, we were only just finishing our drinks. Plates were even taken before all diners at our table had finished main courses (this is a big no-no in my opinion). Very rushed and keen to turn over tables it seemed, rather than prioritising customer satisfaction - maybe the service would be different if we were a large table ordering round after round of cocktails? If you're a big party, e.g. work do, or hen party, this is probably a very good place to go. For couples or small groups seeking a premium night out, perhaps look elsewhere, but each to their own of course!

A lovely and lively place with a live band where you can send them your song requests while you eat and drink the night away.Came here for my friend’s birthday this weekend (Sat evening) and it was VERY busy - lots of hen and stag dos. The musicians were fantastic, especially when the full band were out. In the end, they had so many song requests that they only performed songs if you tipped. Tipping is optional and I’m sure on a quieter night it wouldn’t matter so much if but just something to consider when coming here so remember to bring some cash. However, food and drinks must be paid by card.Food was good, I really enjoyed the buttermilk chicken starter. I got the lamb rump for mains but I wasn’t really a fan of the flavours, lamb was cooked well which I was happy with.Service was incredible, our waiter Fabio was so so attentive (we were a big group!) and he did amazingly well attending to all of our requests and made everything run smoothly. Big thanks to Fabio! All in all, a wonderful evening. I would go back but probably on a weekday evening when it’s a little less busy and people are not so smashed off their faces.

The Piano Works...no, it doesn't.Distinctly average bar / eatery for the undemanding. The food is over-priced and uninspiring. At weekends, you are FORCED to order a starter with your meal. Not that there is a two course deal....No!...you just HAVE to eat two courses. I note in a previous review response, they explain this is necessary because at weekends they are busy!? I think it's a cynical attempt to maximize revenue with no added value.£45 for a standard rib-eye with a disappointing salad and the starter that was a requirement. Then drinks on top.Had they not insisted on money grabbing for the extra £9 each for the starter, we would have stayed and spent way more on drinks than that. The music was provided by a couple of piano players who took it in turns to play. They were OK but I was expecting a show which would draw in the audience. It was just a bit more background. Our song requests were ignored. In the end, our party of four couldn't get out fast enough. We all agreed a meal out in any of the local pubs would have been better.Summary: Don't bother unless you have low standards, money to burn and can have fun in a dark box with incidental music.

We had our ork Christmas party here, and the music was great. The food was okay, I'd prefer to just have a table for drinks if we were to book again rather than eat.Other than the food, it was an amazing night and great atmosphere.

We were told we are not aloud to dance when we had finished our brunch and payed for our drinks and food, couldn't have fun even throw the band was playing ,and didn't explaine when booking when we could dance on the dance floor. unacceptable and would never ever return taken our money but there seems to be a law when you can dance on the dance floor because people are eating, the waiter was excellent but the point of a branch was to have fun and experience a dance with my girlfriends. We were all surprised how the night was dictated to us.I had spoken to the manager on the night but she said she couldn't do anything about it and didn't do anything to change it or seem to care. The worst place I have gone to a brunch.

Just discovered this hidden gem, George was the most intuitive, friendly and professional bar tender I’ve come across in a long time - rare in post covid times! The music - amazing! Overall a great place to find, will be booking here for my brothers surprise birthday..: if he doesn’t see it first :) all in all so happy to find this place!

We came here around 5:30 on a Friday, and the vibes were exactly what we were looking for. It was quiet, not crowded at all, and the drinks were all half off. The venue is underground, so it feels exclusive but still casual. Our requests got in fairly quickly, and the musicians were very talented. I requested Flowers, and I loved her cover more than the original.
